The math doesn't lie. If kenos only makes 600 a week on five dollar Fridays our existence will barely make it through the winter and it will have to close permanently. After 15 years of never taking a salary spending our life savings always saying this year things have to get better. But they never do. Im tired and disappointed . Every week out of 66000 followers the same 20 give or take donate. Its ludicrous. Why follow my kids if your never going to offer something to help them? Im not a tv show im a charity. I just dont understand it. I put up a video 5000 views 200 comments how they all love kenos next day i put up a 5 dollar Friday is get 66 likes 4 comments. Wow.

Teddy is dreaming of his forever family. This baby is a 9-10 year old mix that is looking for his perfect family. He is good with other dogs his size and older kids. No kitties for Teddy. He is housebroken and crate trained. Teddy loves to go on walks and loves to snuggle.

You came from a mansion in a great neighborhood in new jersey. A mansion that you never seen the inside of. You were banished to the concrete front yard as a guard dog. You looked through the windows at every holiday wondering why then never invited you in. You did your job and kept.them safe and got paid back with kibble , brutally hot summers and freezing cold winters. Then when you had enough you made your destiny by growling at your owner. You were dragged to a kill shelter to die. But lucky you on arrival you caught the eye of some volunteers. They fought for your life in the shelter that wanted you dead. You are put in a 4x4 concrete box. Your first night like in all jails you were confused and scared. You hear the deafening sounds of calls and screaming. At first like most inmates you fall in line waitingto go home . Being treated like a slave and going through the motions. Then when you couldn't tolerate no more you started to fight to go home. Because of your intolerance your put isolated were you can't be walked or see any sun light. Now you realize that your never going home and become extremely fear aggressive to the point that no one could go near you. Now without you understanding or knowing the shelter gives you a ex*****on date. The volunteers are frantic they fight for you but only to fall on deaf ears. They fundraise and sold shirts and beg on Facebook for any donations to send you to a sanctuary. They contacted me and the rest is history. Your my 120 pound baby. Every time I look at you I get a 🦋 in my stomach because you went through such hell your entire life and all I can do is try to make up for what humanity did you my precious ❤️. This is the story of my kid bengi but its not just his story. Its the story of thousands of dogs and what they endure in our shelter system everyday. Go save a Benji and save a life.

💔🥺😔 Heaven gained a good one yesterday 🥹👼🏻
Comet was one of the sweetest boys you could meet. Unfortunately for the sweet boy with the platypus plappers as feet he had essentially been fighting for his life since he was a pup. He and his family went through dozens, if not hundreds of appointments trying to figure out why Comet couldn’t hold any weight on him, and why his fur continued to have bald patches, scabs, etc. These are things Comet dealt with his entire life, his first few years they didn’t think he’d make it that long, and due to his health issues as a pup he never really got to be a puppy and socialize with other dogs.

Somehow a plant based diet and meds had kept Comet’s weight on him as best as possible over the years, and it helped his fur/skin as much as possible but there were still occasional battles he had to overcome continously. His most recent stay at the beginning of this month he was actually doing great, had good weight on him, his coat was shiny and soft and very minimal if any scabs like he sometimes would get from playing and bumping against things, or just from breakouts💔 But the sweet man looked so good his last stay here 🥹

As mentioned before due to all of these complications, Comet never really ever got to learn how to hang/play with other dogs and just pup it up; and if Comet and his parents hadn’t been through enough apparently Comet had a really bad boarding experience once or twice elsewhere before joining his younger Uncles Caspian and Enzo here for boarding. He was timid when he first came and was clearly confused on how to interact with the other dogs. Thanks to our other angel Sweet Poppa T and others Comet quickly got the hang of things around here and was pupping it up with the gang before the end of his first boarding stay. He only got better from there and pupped it up even more here from then on.

I was and am so damn proud of Comet for learning how to be a dog and pup it up, and for all he overcame, fought through, persevered through. He was always so happy, a big ole smile, tail whipping all around sometimes to his own detriment lol
He’d just be plapping around and pouncing, barking/yelling, and fake/sneak attacking all his friends and family here 🐾❤️

I hope Sweet T was one of the first to greet you when you got there Comet, so he could show you the ropes one more time before yall pup it up with all the others up there. Praying it’s all real and that I’ll see you all again soonmeday. Rest easy and run wild sweet boy, you’ll be missed. WE LOVE YOU COMET! ☄️🐾❤️
