Have you ever seen a mini donkey swim on the Aqua Pacer?! Well now you have!!

With donkeys becoming such a popular animal to own, if you are considering having one, please read up on their care! Fat donkeys aren’t healthy donkeys as they can end up having Hyperlipaemia. What is that you may ask? Well, Hyperlipaemia, a disease caused by too much fat in the blood which can kill a donkey.

We love adding new tools/equipment to our facility when we can! As of today, we have added a livestock scale! To some, this may mean nothing but we are excited to track weight on client horses that need pounds shed off, pounds added, or even horses that are in training but need their weight maintained!

What does this mean to our clients:
- your horse’s weight will be monitored even closer now with us being able to weigh vs guessing from the naked eye
- if a horse start shedding weight fast, we will have data to compare and can address asap
- you will know your horse’s exact weight when they leave

Are you one that guesstimates when deworming? Well we can make sure your horse get the right amount now because if you’re like me, my guesstimates are always off, as I will also be offering for people to haul to weigh their horse for data tracking themselves or for deworming!

Earl was the first victim and he doesn’t want to talk about the numbers as his diet plan just got more intense after seeing those numbers 🫣

Miracles can happen with patience, faith, and love! ✨

Most people just think that I train horses, condition horses on the Aqua Pacer aka fat camp, or I’m the place to go once your horse is cleared to start light work post injury, but I do more!

This summer, I’ve been able to widen my services to my clients by offering wound care and helping the special needs horses ❤️

Before I begin, I want to say any hateful comments will be deleted.

I’m only giving the brief version as the owners want to share his full story when they are ready and I was given permission to share his pictures with me. ❤️

This guy came to me this past spring to get a jump start on his spring conditioning well fast forward a few months, he got CRAZY sick and lost so much weight and we still don’t know what he had. The owners have done soooo much for him but they knew he needed more and reached out to me. He was starting to gain some weight back with them so we talked about light exercise for him, well when we started, we went backwards so we paused all exercise as our goal is to get as much weight back on him before our North Dakota winter hits. The owner and I discussed maybe changing up his feed plan some and they were on board right away only downfall was, 2 feedings a day which can be tough when you have a pokey horse and you work a full time job so with my schedule, we decided he would stay with me for a bit longer. We aren’t even a month in and look at his gains!! But don’t worry, his story isn’t over yet so stay tuned 🥰💙

This summer, I’ve also had some cases of wound care come through! I honestly never thought I’d be interested in the wound care but I’m kind of enjoying it! A couple of the cases where the owners were going on vacation and needed someone to clean the wound twice a day and feed, so we were able to help them out so there were no set backs in the healing process!

So if you have a special needs horse that needs some extra care, feel free to reach out to us or if you have a horse with an injury/wound that needs special attention and you have a busy schedule or just don’t do well with wounds, we would love to help!

It’s crazy to think fall and winter are unfortunately right around the corner which means weather will be changing! With that being said, we know how early events are starting up here now and how limited fall/winter riding is so let us help keep your horse legged up or let us help you start the legging up process for the new year! One of my favorite teams!

This mare came to me as a two year old to start under saddle a few years ago. The owner went home and continued her training and this past winter, she came back to me to fine tune some things and start on the pattern! Well this duo has been out there crushing it this summer and they are getting faster each run as they are figuring each other out! Oh and they already one their first buckle! 🙌🏽

I am beyond proud of this team and I can’t wait to see what they continue to do as I know they have BIG plans for this fall! ❤️

If you want your horse to be set up for success, after they leave the trainers, continue on with their education in your hands! Every horse that leaves my hands, I tell the owners that if they have any questions or problems arise to call me or send me videos so I can help them! Don’t be afraid of asking for help if you feel you are at a standstill or just don’t know, a supportive coach/trainer will help you through it!

We loved seeing all the new faces out here as we were honored to share our facility with Northern Pines Stables for their Horsemanship Challenge!! It was hot one but thank goodness for the breeze and cloud cover at times, oh and in true North Dakota fashion this year, a few sprinkles here and there.

🚨🚨LOCATION CHANGE🚨🚨

We are super excited that we will are able to help Northern Pines Stables so they don’t have to find a new weekend after a scheduling conflict. This will be the first Horsemanship Challenge out here on June 28th! Lots of EASY parking! Stop by after running barrels in Antler as it’s on the way home!

Some great points with all this smoke we have been having!

🔥 Wildfire Smoke & Horse Health 🐴💨

As wildfire season heats up, so does the risk of poor air quality — not just for us, but for our horses too. Smoke from wildfires can irritate a horse's respiratory system and cause fatigue, coughing, difficulty breathing, etc.

You can monitor air quality at www.airnow.gov. During periods of poor air quality, you can protect your horse by:
🐎 Limiting exercise
💧 Providing fresh water
💦 Controlling dust such as watering dry lots and soaking or feeding dust-free hay
🕰 Allowing time for recovery: airway damage from wildfire smoke takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal after air quality returns to normal.
