Yesterday we hosted the Northern Pines Stables Horsemanship Challenge Double Header, and all I can say is… wow! What an incredible turnout. It truly warmed our hearts to see so many amazing people at a facility we’ve worked so hard to build.

But today, I want to give a huge shoutout to this guy—Russell.

So much of what he does happens behind the scenes, and most people never get to see it. He spent countless hours making sure the ground was perfect, kept everything running smoothly throughout the day, jumped in to help wherever he was needed, hauled horses back and forth for me (while somehow remembering to bring me food too!), and played Bob the Builder by fixing generators and helping anyone who needed a hand.

More than that, you’ve always believed in my dreams. You’ve never once told me my ideas were too big or too crazy. Instead, you’ve encouraged me to chase them, supported every new adventure, and worked right alongside me to make them happen.

People often see me (RyLeigh) as the face of Quarter Double R Equine Facility, but the truth is, none of this would be possible without Russell. This business, this facility, and days like yesterday are a reflection of both of our hard work.

Thank you for being my biggest supporter, my problem solver, and my teammate in every sense of the word. I couldn’t do this without you and as you can tell, the horses appreciate you too ❤️

We can’t wait to host another one!

One of my favorite parts of this job is watching the c**ts we’ve started go on to find their purpose and absolutely thrive in it. ❤️

This pretty girl came to me in 2023 for her c**t start, and just look at her now!

Fun fact: she was the very first Hancock horse I ever started. When I got the call, I’ll admit I was hesitant—we all know the reputation Hancock horses tend to have. But after talking it over, I decided to give her a chance, and I’m so thankful I did.

She completely changed my perspective on the Hancock line. In fact, I now have one of my own in my pasture—Rio. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to start so many of her siblings, with several more already on the books. Even better, what started as a client relationship has grown into a wonderful friendship with someone who supports both me and my business in so many ways. I’m beyond grateful for that.

One more fun fact… her sire, WHIPP HANCOCK MARKIS “Markis,” is actually here with me right now! And let me tell you, he is one of the sweetest horses you’ll ever meet. 💙 He’ll be getting his own post soon, where I’ll share why he’s here, so stay tuned!

It still amazes me how one “yes” to a horse I wasn’t sure about turned into so many incredible horses, friendships, and opportunities. ❤️

🥁 Drum roll, please… 🥁

Our first Pounds for a Purpose (1lb lost = 1lb of feed donated) donation wrapped up at the beginning of the month, but I’ve been soaking up all the newborn snuggles with Rowan, so I’m a little late announcing our winner! ❤️

Every horse that comes in for water treadmill sessions is weighed on an actual scale so we can track their progress accurately. Between January and May, these incredible horses collectively changed by an astounding 631 pounds through weight loss and muscle gain.

Yes… SIX HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE POUNDS! 😭❤️

Now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for…

They are the recipient of our very first Pounds for a Purpose feed donation!

I also want to give a huge thank you to every single client who trusted me with their horses. Without your support and commitment, this donation simply wouldn’t have been possible.
