Farewell from WREPC - Not a goodbye but a see you later
Today, 12/30/22, was White Rabbit Exotic Pet Care's last day in business. I have posted a few times now about how hard this decision was to make, but that I am excited to continue on my veterinary journey. I wish following this vet dream didn't mean letting go of my WREPC dream, but once my externships and rotations start in a few days, I just won't have the time to continue on. I am sorry to leave you all as your pet sitter and groomer, but I hope you all agree with my feeling that I will be able to do even greater good for our furry, scaly, and feathered friends in my future career as an exotics vet!
Toys - The Etsy shop has been closed for several days now, but I sent my remaining inventory to a rabbit rescue. They will be reselling the rest of the toys I made in order to raise money for the rabbits in their care. I am so happy that my last 120 toys were able to find a good home and go to such a great cause. I will be sure to send out the link to their shop once the toys are received and posted!
Pet Sitting/Grooming - If you are not able to find a replacement sitter/groomer on your own, please email me, and I will do my best to help you find one.
Website - Over the next few months, whiterabbitpets.com will slowly be converted (in the minuscule amounts of free time I will have) into a more resource-based website. I thought it was still important to provide links to those who may be searching for veterinarians, rescues, and animal care information. I am also happy to volunteer my time to answer any non-urgent/non-veterinary questions about animal care & husbandry or help owners find care for their pets using the contact form in any free time I may have.

I will miss all of you and your pets so much, but I hope to see at least some of you with your pets as veterinary patients in the future. You should be able to find me by searching "Alyssa Silverman, VMD" starting in the summer of 2024. In this way, it's not really a goodbye, but more of a see-you-later.
I cannot thank you all enough for the past 6 years. I have loved each of the 81 pets I cared for as my own, and enjoyed making friends with many of their owners. I am so grateful for the 15.9K Etsy shop visits, the straight 5 star reviews, and the nearly 2,000 toys sold between the shop and vendor events. I will miss the days of waking up at 5am to cuddle bunnies and feed breakfasts before my day job, and the nights of coming home at midnight after a last puppy potty break. I will miss taking a million photos of each pet and making all of the memories that came along with them. Thank you all for trusting me to take care of your precious babies.
