Established in 1988, the Lanoka Oaks Veterinary Center is a modern, well-respected veterinary practice located in Lanoka Harbor, Ocean County, NJ. Symbolic of the roots we have established within the community is the magnificent Oak tree located in front of our state-of-the-art facility. ⚠️ Early detection saves lives! 🐾 Here are 3 common signs of cancer in pets you should never ignore:
1️⃣ Lumps or bumps – Not all are cancerous, but any new or changing mass should be checked by your vet.
2️⃣ Unexplained weight loss – Sudden or gradual loss without diet change can be an early warning sign.
3️⃣ Low energy or appetite – A decrease in eating, activity, or interest in normal routines may signal an underlying issue.

🌸💐 Meet Tux! 💐🌸
Tux may only be 14 weeks old and a tiny 2.2 lbs, but he’s got the heart of a lion 🦁💛
He first came in for a routine exam and vaccines, but soon after, he started losing fur, had trouble going to the bathroom, and wasn’t growing like he should. Despite everything — even when he got tired of his little b***y being poked — Tux stayed the sweetest, bravest boy. 🐾

Thanks to the amazing care of Dr. Willems and Dr. Del Vecchio, Tux was diagnosed with Mega Colon and hypothyroidism (super rare in cats!) and started on the medication he needed.
Now, this happy little flower 🌼 is on the road to recovery and feeling better every day!
