Riverside Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1978 with a purpose to provide the best possible care to pets and piece of mind to their owners. Dr. Charles Harris, who purchased the hospital in 1979 and is a graduate of Auburn University, and a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) as well as the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association (Alabama VMA) and East Alabama Vet

erinary Medical Association (East Alabama VMA). His associates are Dr. Kerri Teague, Dr. Shani McCrillis, and Dr. Cindy Rogers. Everybody put on your party hats and say a big congratulations to our girl, Bucket! She’s officially one whole pound today! Bucket was abandoned to us as a two week old kitten weighing 6 ounces and with a severely infected leg. A few of our staff members have taken turns allowing Bucket into our families, medicating and bottle feeding her, and teaching her how to be a kitten. Her leg now looks fantastic and she’s growing like a w**d. For her next trick, she’ll be learning how to use a litter box! 🎉🎉🎉

About yesterday.....

We want to take a moment to thank everyone for taking the time to send wonderful birthday wishes to Doc! He appreciated everyone of your kind words!

We also want to address the incident that occurred and resulted in us having to make some changes to be able to continue working after lunch. There was an accident and the side of our building was hit. Please know that everyone was ok but this incident caused insulation dust and debris to cover a decent portion of our clinic. We immediately had to leave the building but were able to get back in and start cleaning in preparation to open for our afternoon appointments. Out of the safety and concern for our client's (both human and pet), we still limited access to entry for everyone's safety. We just want to thank everyone for being understanding and working with us through this unforseen circumstance. We are up and running this morning and look forward to having everything back to normal soon. We hope that you all have a wonderful and safe Saturday!
