What do you think we'll add to this aquarium?!

We refreshed our one 10 gallon tank recently since we moved all the Platies into the 50 gallon tank with the Guppies. We put in new substrate and bought all new plants.

Stay tuned for what we add to this one! I can't wait to see the plants continue to grow!

Just a few of our Guppies in the one corner of the 50 gallon tank! Today we're combining our Guppies & Platies both in to this tank together since they can't cross-breed!

Recommendations: 10 gallon minimum tank - and have about 4-5 together. If you don't want breeding to occur, get only female. If you'd like them to breed (and they will), do 1 male to 3 or 4 females! Tank must be filtered. These particular ones are currently not in a live habitat tank, but could be.

Check out a bunch of our Platy!

This tank currently has one Mama (as seen on the right), 20+ babies, and just recently had another "litter" of about 20 or so Fry - just born a couple days ago, so they are not all out of hiding so accurate count is difficult.

You may also be able to spot an even older baby - darker on the left!

SOMEHOW, this Mama become pregnant with another set of Fry - and no adult male in the tank. We read they could breed pretty young, but I am almost positive our larger baby is a female. 🀯 Someone explain this phenomenon to us! I only noticed the new batch of Fry when I was attempting to clean the tank - and had to stop to protect them!

We have a hider!! Took me quite a while to finally find where she got to, but she's just relaxing and hiding in there.

The 4 up and about seem pretty happy to be together and eating. They've been checking out the environment and finding all their hiding spots.
