Hi everyone! Our good friend Sean put together a Go Fund Me to help us with our vet costs. We have 2 dogs that have torn tendons in both their back legs, each leg is over $7,000 , we have several dogs that need to be fixed before being able to go to a forever home, We have a handful of dogs with allergies that need to be on medication everyday and we really need financial help. Just a friendly reminder that we do have adoptable dogs! These are most of our babies waiting for a new home, they just have to be spayed/neutered before going home with you if they aren’t already. They each have their own quirks and personalities. Majority would be better off as the only pet in the house. Please keep these babies in mind, as we have some younger dogs that do not need to grow up without knowing what it’s like to be in a house and loved by a family. We do our best here with letting them run their 2 acres and they have their own houses with individual Ac units and heaters. They still deserve to be in homes.

BONDED PAIR NEEDS A HOME

Meet Zeus and Lola. A bonded pair that was surrendered to us a few weeks ago. These fur babies are house broken and know basic commands. They should be the only pets in your home, must have fenced in yard so they can run. They play like puppies but are around 3-5 years old we believe. DOG COMMUNITY - CARTERS NEEDS HANDS ON HELP - PLEASE SHARE

Please read through the whole post. We are short staffed and have requirements for a reason, please be patient with us.

We’re looking for an employee with their own reliable transportation to work Monday-Friday 7am-12pm. You’ll be going around and sliding in a breakfast bowl for every house that has a dog inside, then going back and one by one, letting the dog out for a run and will then clean their rooms. We need someone that knows how to work with dogs, pays attention to dog body language or at least is willing to learn dog behaviors and quirks. You will be coming across some dogs are scared and have nothing but bad experiences, but you have to have the patience to earn the dogs trust. We don’t have a single bad dog on our property and we fully expect our employees to have open hearts for these fur babies. They know when you’re having a bad day or don’t want to be around them, we’re looking for patient people to love the dogs no matter what kind of day you’re having or mood you’re in.

HOLIDAYS - Please understand that the dogs don’t get Christmas and new years off. They still need to be fed, let out, loved on, and played with. The employees will rotate and work out holidays as they come by but we really will need the help during holidays too.

We also will be looking for part timers to do Saturday & Sunday morning shifts and a separate employee for evenings shifts.

Starting pay is $12 an hour and you will be paid once a week by check.

Alrighty, let's reinstate the Dog of the Month!

For February(we dropped the ball for January 😅): Introducing Remi boy! Remi is an 8-year old fixed purebred Aussie with the vocal cords of some type of angel I’m sure 😂. He’s got the energy of a puppy and gets loud when you don’t understand the rules of fetch! Although he’s a talker, Remi is a highly trainable pup who’s more than eager to learn. He loves car rides and will sit pretty in the passenger seat. This handsome boy was surrendered with his sister Jade, who found a home last week. They had to be separated after Remi kept pushing Jade out of her food bowl, then became nippy. He’s dog selective but through proper introductions, he could be a great add on to a home with a fur baby in it. I wouldn’t recommend cats or rodents, please be mindful of his breed. He’s a herding dog, he’s going to try to stay busy so enrichments is highly recommended. If you can get past his quirks, Remi is quite the dog, he’s potty trained, leash trained, knows basic commands, and is well established to grooming. He’s also microchipped and UTD on vaccines. Good afternoon! As the new year approaches, we wanted to reach out to our community again and see if there’s any way we could get some help. As much as we hate to ask, we are struggling with vet bills. We’ve lost a few dogs and gained a few more, so the cycle never slows down or ends as we all know. We need help getting our babies vetted and taken care of. We have seniors that we want to make comfortable for however long they have left. We’re always in need of towels and blankets (preferably blankets with no stuffing inside). We managed to get every house with their own portable heaters in time for the cold days we had, now we’re just running low on bedding and funds.
