Okay folks again, we're going to have a conversation on neutering and spading!
In a conversation I had with the orthopedic specialist it is so crucial that you do not spayed or neuter your cavalier until they are at least 18 months to 2 years old. The hormones that they need that are crucial for the development of their bones and patillas in particular, are jeopardized when you spayed and neuter at a young age before they're one. They are seeing many dogs whose patellas are bad. Their bones aren't properly developed. They are seeing many, results of neutering and spaying too early. The collagen in their body is stopped when they are spayed and neutered. Collagen is very important in developing bones and joints.
I understand that most people don't like to go through the heat cycle or have their males lift their leg in the house, but I would far rather go through that than jeopardize my Cavalier with early spading or neutering!
Some Veterinarians want to do spading and neutering early of course you must understand they're in the business to make money!
I have no reason to tell you this unless it were true and what as a Breeder I know from talking to specialists!
It's really just good common sense when you think about it! You have a puppy filled with hormones and cells growing and developing if you choose to stop that growth what do you think is going to happen? Nature cannot take its course.
Please keep this in mind!
