🎩 C**t (A037590) is a 10-year-old, fawn Pitbull mix and weighs 60 pounds. C**t arrived at PCAS as a seized custody case with multiple other dogs. It was reported the owner was arrested and left all the dogs locked in crates in the home. 😞😓

C**t arrived in rough shape to start. He has masses all over, ear infections, broken and missing teeth, and very thin. While sitting in an overcrowded shelter, C**t has now developed URI with nasal discharge and a cough. It’s clear C**t hasn’t been dealt many positive cards in his life, but we are hopeful for a better hand now. Due to his many medical concerns, body condition, and overall health, he has been placed on a 7-day deadline plea. PLEASE BE HIS HERO.

✴️He is available for a special needs ADOPTION OR a RESCUE transfer. He is in need of a further work up at a full service DVM, time to heal, and love of love. ❤ C**t is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm positive. C**t MUST receive a commitment by WEDNESDAY September 24th.

🦋 Fauna (A038925) is a 4-month-old , black and orange Torti, and weighs 4 pounds. Fauna arrived as an injured kitten from the Port Richey area. Fauna was found not using her rear leg. Radiographs show a pelvic fracture, although we cannot rule out other injuries to the hind leg. So far, her ins and outs are ok but may need monitors for blocks. Fauna will need a follow up at a full service for a further evaluation and/or treatment. Fauna is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. Fauna is an AS-IS rescue transfer ONLY case and MUST receive a rescue commitment by THURSDAY, October 2nd.

We have 2 cats in need of immediate discharge out of shelter. Both cats MUST receive a commitment by THURSDAY, October 2nd by 5:30pm. Please email [email protected] if you can assist either kitty immediately. Thank you.

🐸 Fiona (A035640) is a 2-year-old, black and white mixed breed, and weighs 54 pounds. Fiona arrived as a terrified stray from the Holiday area in Late June. She hasn’t left the shelter since. Fiona was anxious and head shy upon arrival. Through some staff assistance and care, she slowly gained our trust. Fiona has had some inconsistent behaviors.

Fiona was doing amazing for a few weeks and was even being walked daily by volunteers. While being returned to her kennel after a walk, she bit the volunteer’s finger when removing her leash. Fiona is loved by so many at the shelter, but they can see her declining rapidly living in a kennel. Fiona is relaxed out of her kennel with the occasional zoomies.

💨Smoke (A038339) is a 3-year-old, red and white husky, and weighs 38 pounds. Smoke was found in early September running through traffic in the Hudson area. Smoke has been kind since arrival with no issues with staff.

During a medical exam, it was noted Smoke was thin and muscle wasted and staggers when walking giving our vets some concerns. :( The vets state he may have a possible neurological concern that goes beyond the scope of the shelter. Smoke will need a full service follow up for a neuro evaluation and work up.

While medical care is being provided by PCAS, Smoke does require care beyond the capacity of the shelter and the shelter environment is no longer appropriate for his medical care. Smoke is an AS-IS rescue ONLY case and MUST receive a commitment by Thursday 9/25 by 4pm.

🤠 Loretta (A036475) is a 4-year-old, grey and white cat, and weighs 7 pounds. Loretta came to the shelter as a seized custody from a legal eviction. Loretta has always been a “more snacks less snuggle” kind of gal. Loretta does not enjoy being handled and has shown fractious behavior in the shelter. Because she came from a home, she is not a TNVR candidate. However, she is also not a candidate for adoption. We are looking to put Loretta to work! We think she would thrive as a “working cat”. She is looking to trade work for food and shelter. Ideally, she would protect a barn, workspace, or warehouse to keep away unwanted critters. She does not like the flaunt and fluff style and will most likely be a distant – VERY distant - friend.

😊 Loretta is available for rescue transfer OR a waived fee adoption. Loretta must have a commitment by Thursday, September 25th by 5:30pm.
