🐾 Make the carrier part of everyday life!
One of the best ways to reduce stress for your cat is to leave the carrier out year-round in spaces they already feel safe and comfortable. When the carrier only appears before a vet visit or trip, it can quickly become associated with fear and anxiety.

Try adding a cozy blanket, favorite treats, or toys inside so your cat can explore it on their own terms. A little positive exposure now can make future car rides and vet visits much less stressful for everyone 💕

🚨 Hurricane Season = Emergency Preparedness Season 🌪️🐾

From June 1st through November 30th, we’re offering 50% OFF microchips to help keep your pets protected during hurricane season.

Every year, displaced pets are separated from their families during storms and evacuations — and a microchip can be the fastest way to bring them home safely. A collar can fall off… a microchip stays with them for life. 💙

To qualify for this promotion:
✔️ Pets must be current on their annual wellness exam
✔️ Pets must be current on their rabies vaccine
(If not current, these services can be updated during the appointment.)

📞 Call us today to schedule your pet’s microchip appointment before storm season ramps up!

Restrictions may apply.

🐾 If your dog seems uncomfortable in their own skin, don’t ignore the signs. Frequent scratching, paw licking, rubbing on furniture, or recurring ear issues can all point to an underlying problem that needs attention.
Many skin conditions worsen over time without treatment, but the good news is there are plenty of ways we can help keep your pup comfortable and itch-free 💛
If you’ve noticed changes in your pet’s skin, coat, or behavior, give us a call to schedule an appointment!

Not every “UTI” is actually just a UTI 👀🪨

This surgery is called a cystotomy — a procedure where we open the urinary bladder to remove bladder stones. Some dogs develop stones from genetics, chronic urinary infections, diet, urine pH changes, or other medical conditions. These stones can cause:
• blood in the urine
• frequent accidents or straining
• pain while urinating
• urinary blockage (a true emergency 🚨)

Some stones can be dissolved with prescription diets and medications, while others need surgical removal like this case. After surgery, we often send the stones for analysis so we can create the best long-term prevention plan and help reduce the risk of them coming back.

If your dog is suddenly having urinary issues, don’t assume it’s “just a UTI” — bladder stones are more common than many people realize! 🐶🩺

Happy National Grape Day… but not for our pets!🍇🚫

While grapes and raisins may be a healthy snack for people, they can be extremely toxic to dogs and potentially harmful to cats as well. Even small amounts can lead to sudden kidney failure, and unfortunately there’s no known “safe” dose.

Signs of toxicity can include:
🐾 Vomiting or diarrhea
🐾 Lethargy or weakness
🐾 Loss of appetite
🐾 Increased thirst or urination
🐾 Abdominal pain

If your pet eats grapes, raisins, trail mix, raisin bread, or baked goods containing raisins, contact your veterinarian or an emergency clinic right away, early treatment is critical.

Keep these sweet snacks safely out of paw’s reach this summer! 💜🐶🐱
