I have watched this video over and over! This is why we do what we do! We seriously have the greatest customers. This young man is doing a wonderful job! To my followers, send some love and encouragement to this awesome family!

Ava — More Than Just a Puppy

When we welcomed Ava, our beautiful Aussiedoodle from Finney Ranch, into our family, we knew she would bring us joy. What we didn’t realize was just how much she would enrich our lives.

The most heartwarming part has been watching the special bond develop between Ava and our son, Brendon.

Brendon is an adult with cerebral palsy, legal blindness, and special needs. He absolutely loves Ava and proudly tells everyone that she is his dog and that he is helping train her!

Watching Brendon give Ava commands, reward her, and beam with pride when she responds is something truly special. So much of Brendon’s life involves other people helping him. With Ava, he gets to be the one doing the teaching.

Ava is giving Brendon confidence, pride, companionship, and a sense of purpose. She has brought joy, laughter, and energy into our retirement too.

We are so grateful to Shannon and Finney Ranch for bringing this beautiful, intelligent, loving girl into our family.

We thought we were bringing home a puppy. What we really brought home was a world of new possibilities.

And at just one year old, Ava and Brendon’s story is only beginning. ❤️
