Easy access to the Park from the BOWEN Rd. Look for the brightly painted bathrooms--the parking lot is just adjacent. (Note: CLOSED MARCH 15TH - MAY 15TH during muddy season and for yearly maintenance- may be closed Wednesdays 7am -1pm for routine maintenance during regular season)

Sending out a shout of thank you to Roseanne for noticing a patron in distress, to Eddie for assessing their medical situation and helping get them home in order to get prompt medical care, and to Jeff for dog sitting everybody's dogs while all this was going on! We have a wonderful bunch of people at Como Lake Bark Park. We really appreciate all of you for stepping up in an emergency. Thanks again. ❤️

Great initiative from our friend, caseymilbrand . If you didn't know, we commissioned Casey to create a mural for the Bark Park. It's on the side of the bathroom building, facing the parking lot, "Did you say dog park?". Take a photo of your pup(s) in front of the mural. Either send it to us via FB Messenger or email it to [email protected]. We'll post it on our FB feed.

We have lived here for several years. On one side, we know the names of the dogs, and 1 of the 2 people. On the other side, I’m pretty sure my partner knows one of their names. I know neither. ☺️ We’re friendly (from a distance, lol) and they all seem like lovely people. But now it’s been too long, we can’t ask their names again! 😆😂

Our Story

We are a community of dog lovers, banding together to develop a dog park in Lancaster, NY. Our hope is to provide a self-sustaining, high quality recreational and safe location where dogs can be dogs off-leash, free to play and run.

We are partnering with Erie County Parks, Forestry & Recreation to create a dog park in an unused portion of Como Lake Park. The location is near the Office and Maintenance Buildings, close to the Bowen Road entrance of the park. Now we need to step up our fundraising efforts! The sooner we have the money to pay for fencing, gates, water hookup, liability insurance, decomposed granite, signage, etc., the sooner we will have an active dog park!
