Karnak’s Dreaming of Peace
Pax went Group 1 in 4-6 mo puppy on Saturday (contender for Best, as per the judge) and then got off the porch, on Sunday, to play with the big dogs on his 6 mo birthday to earn Winner's Dog. A lot of nice complements from judges and observers. I am excited about this boy!

Pax was a good boy hanging out with the CGA 10u Softball team at the tournament in NJ. The team was victorious, winning their 3rd consecutive tournament.

Don’t give up and

Pax and I had an adventurous day today. We drove south to a dog show that should have taken about 3.5 hours, but because of all the construction and Thursday traffic, it took nearly 6 hours. We left early to give him an hour or two to walk around the building and get acclimated to the sounds, because it was his first indoor show. Less than 1/2 way there the ETA was already 20 minutes late for the ring time. In all honesty I was considering turning around and going home several times, but 1. There was so much traffic to get off the highway and turn around and 2. We kept having some good moments were we were shaving off some of the ETA time. In the end we arrived at 2:43 (ring time was 2:45). I parked at the first spot (not so close to the building), grabbed Pax from his crate and ran. Just before going in I put him on the grass and said, “p*e”. He immediately p*ed the longest p*e I have ever witnessed. I picked him up and ran inside to look for the ring. Luckily it was easy to find. Unbelievably we made it. He was not frazzled by any of it. I love this boy!

Puppy teeth typically start to fall out around 3-4 months to make room for their adult teeth. This lasts until about 6 months. If they still have baby teeth at 6 months, it might be a good idea to have a vet check to make sure they are not retaining the puppy teeth and causing the adult teeth to come in incorrectly. They may want to do a lot of chewing during this time, or even nipping. Make sure they have plenty of chew toys. Yak bones are good for this. The puppies will often just swallow the teeth, but if you’re lucky, you might find one.
