It is with great heartfelt sadness that No Kill Central KY has learned of the passing of Priscilla.

Her and Elvis were adopted by Belinda Tarpley-Sottung & Sherri Tarpley Sottung and they couldn't have had a better Forever Home.

No Kill Central KY sends our condolences to Elvis, Belinda, Sherri, and all their friends.

There are no words to comfort this loss.

Meet Joey, a 2–3 year old sweetheart at Garrard County Animal Shelter who is still waiting for someone to choose him. While the lights sparkle and gifts sit under trees, Joey’s biggest wish can’t be wrapped in paper — he’s hoping for a home.

Joey is 💯 kennel broke at the shelter, which means he’s respectful, clean, and trying his very best to be a good boy even in a stressful environment. And trust us when we say this… he truly is the goodest boy ever. 🐾❤️

He would do best in a home with older kids, where he can feel safe, loved, and understood. Joey has so much love to give — he just needs someone willing to see past the kennel bars and into his heart.

Shelter life is hard, especially during the holidays. Joey watches people walk by every day, tail wagging, hoping today is the day someone stops for him.

BABY Garrard County Animal Shelter

Meet Baby.

Baby spent the first few short years of her life chained in a front yard. That was her whole world.
Now she’s with us, and one of her favorite things is finally having a fenced yard where she can move freely and feel the grass under her paws.

Baby has tried twice to find her forever through foster-to-adopt homes, but each time she was returned within just a few days. Not because she’s bad — but because Baby loves too deeply.
She wants to be with her people all the time. Being left again is terrifying for her, and that fear outweighs her trust that you’ll come back.

As heartbreaking as it is to say, the shelter has become her comfort zone. It’s the place she knows people won’t disappear on her. Still, we hold onto hope — big hope — that someone special will see Baby for who she is and give her the patience, reassurance, and unconditional love she’s never truly had.

Baby doesn’t need perfection.
She needs commitment.
She needs someone who won’t give up when it gets hard.
