With our intake being extremely high right now, we are going through supplies faster than ever! Our biggest need at the moment is CAT LITTER! 🐱🩷

We also still have several upcoming expenses, including:

🐾 THE FORGOTTEN — 36 CATS AND COUNTING 🐾

What started as an emergency hoarding rescue has now reached 36 precious lives. 💔

Mama Peaches surprised us with 6 beautiful babies, (hours after being rescued) adding six more tiny lives depending on us for their chance at a better future.

Sadly, not every story has had the ending we prayed for. 🌈 We lost sweet Flea and Bam Bam. Both mattered. Both were loved. And both will forever be part of The Forgotten. 💔

But there is also so much progress to celebrate.

That means more than HALF of these cats have already made their way through vetting — and we aren’t done yet!

These cats came from conditions no animal should have to live in. Fleas, filth, neglect and years of uncontrolled breeding. One by one, we are showing them that their lives matter.

They may have been The Forgotten, but they aren’t forgotten anymore. ❤️

We still have a long road ahead with vetting, food, litter, flea treatment and everyday care. Every donation, every shared post, every supply dropped off and every person cheering these babies on has helped us get this far.

We also have to give a HUGE shoutout to Fairfield Veterinary Services for performing Milo’s diaphragmatic hernia surgery. ❤️🐾 We truly cannot thank their team enough for willingly taking on such a major and complicated procedure. Milo’s defect was very large, making this anything but a simple surgery.

Following surgery, Milo also required a thoracocentesis (chest tap) to remove fluid and/or air from around his lungs and help his chest and lungs function properly. He made it through surgery, but the next couple of days remain critical, and he still has a lot of healing ahead of him. We are watching our sweet boy closely and praying that he continues moving in the right direction. 🙏❤️

Our gratitude for Fairfield Veterinary Services goes beyond Milo, too. They have also helped us get 13 of our Forgotten hoarding cats spayed/neutered, getting them one step closer to the healthy, happy lives they deserve.

Thank you, Fairfield Veterinary Services, for taking on Milo’s difficult case, for helping our Forgotten cats, and for being there when these animals needed you. We are beyond grateful for everything you’ve done. ❤️🐾

❤️‍🩹🐾 MILO MADE IT THROUGH SURGERY!!!! 🐾❤️‍🩹

We finally have some GOOD news to share today! Our sweet Milo made it through his major surgery! 🙏😭

Dr. Roberts is expecting Milo to have a good recovery, and we could not be more relieved. After everything this little guy has been through with his diaphragmatic hernia, hearing those words means more than we can explain.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for Milo, sent positive thoughts, donated toward his care, shared his story, and checked in on him. You helped give this sweet boy his chance. ❤️

Now it’s time for Milo to rest, heal, and let his little body recover. We’ll continue to keep everyone updated as he heals.

💔 We lost another little soul from “The Forgotten 22.”

Our sweet Bam Bam gained his wings today, and this one really hurts.

From the moment he came into our care on Saturday, he was such a sweet little soul—playful, loving, and finally getting the care he deserved. We truly thought this was the beginning of his new life.

Unfortunately, while under anesthesia, Dr. Roberts said Bam Bam suffered a cardiac event. They worked so hard to save him, but despite everything they did, his little body just couldn’t make it.

This is the part of rescue that absolutely breaks you. We take them in hoping to give them the life they should have always had, and sometimes we simply don’t get enough time.

Bam Bam, I’m so sorry your new beginning was so short. But please know that during your final days, you were safe. You were cared for. You were loved. You mattered. 🤍

Run free, sweet boy. 🌈🐾

We want to take a moment to thank every single person who has donated, shared our posts, sent supplies, or stepped up to help with “The Forgotten” hoarding cats. Your support has meant more than you know.

This situation has been mentally, emotionally, and physically draining. These animals came from deplorable living conditions and were absolutely infested with fleas. Many of them are going to need time, patience, medical care, and a whole lot of love—but every single one of them deserves a safe, loving home. 🐾❤️

These two are Darla & Terry, two of our most recent rescues. Their first steps toward feeling better included:

🛁 A good Dawn bath
🪮 Lots and LOTS of flea combing
💊 Topical flea treatment
❤️ And finally knowing what it feels like to be cared for

Little by little, we are getting there.

Over the next two weeks, these guys will be finishing up their vetting, including their shots, testing, vaccines, and everything needed to get them ready for their next chapter. 🩺🐱

We are also in need of hard plastic pet carriers! If anyone has any new or used plastic carriers they would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. Used is perfectly fine as long as they are in safe, usable condition!
