A member has a question about boarding recommendations in Virginia.

Hi There,
Can anyone recommend any sitters or boarding places for GSPs in the Virginia area? Photo of our intact, 2 year old boy Gibbs for attention.

There are two GSP pups in the Fluvanna, Va. animal shelter that are in desperate need of a home. They will not do well in that type of environment.

Here is a GSP that needs to be re-homed.

8 yr old GSP, fabulous bird dog needing to be rehomed due to family move to a place not conducive to GSP personality. He is crate trained and trained on e-fence. Would prefer being the only dog in family. Fine with children except occasionally forgets his size and could knock smaller child down by accident. Is not house broken as he lives on the farm and stays out all day and comes into crate at night. However, with his age would probably take to house life fine with someone patient.

Bird dogs skills include, backing other dogs, retrieve to hand and gun broke. Close range hunter.

This poor boy needs a loving home. ❤️

Ralph, our 10-year-old TN foster, is STILL looking for his forever home. The truth is, he hasn’t had ONE single application from someone within our 7-state territory (with no kids under 6, a rescue requirement). And he just can’t figure out why. He’s the best boy—super cuddly, helpful with chores, pretty chill, and overall, such a great catch.

Ralph was found as a stray, emaciated, and pulled by our rescue before being euthanized. He has been through a lot and deserves nothing but the best.
