One of our members needs to re home her GSP. She has reached out to rescues as well, so no need to suggest those. If interested please contact her, as it is posted at the end. Here is her write up:

Our 5-year-old Kamir is in desperate need of a new and loving home. We have to move off our 2 acres in VA to a condo in New York by the end of the year. We adopted him a year ago, and he has since been house and crate trained. He still has some recall issues, especially if he's fixated on something, but nothing a dog biscuit won't fix. He will tolerate a 6 ft fence if it's not chain link, 8ft if it is chain link. He loves to cuddle, snuggle, watch TV (nothing scary. He hates Game of Thrones, but loves to watch other animals on tv). He likes to howl at firetrucks and ambulances. He loves mid-morning naps on a bed, sunning himself in the perfect VA springs, and romping through snow. He's loyal and loving. Great with kids and other pets. Contact Stephanie [email protected]

We have a member that is looking for a senior GSP.
Here is her request:

I live in Charlottesville, Virginia and am looking to adopt a senior GSP. I have had GSPs ever since I graduated from college. I am in my 70s now.
I love GSPs their energy, intelligence, athleticism, affectionate nature, joyful spirits, and loyalty. I have always made sure they had good diets, lots of exercise, and the best veterinary care. I live in an area with a small fenced dog park and acres of grassy and wooded areas. I take lots of walks and also employ 2 dog walkers, so my dogs always get lots of exercise.

A member has a question about any breeders in Virginia:

Hi, we are interested in adding a GSP to our family. We are located in Richmond but willing to travel. We have a 12 year old Boykin Spaniel and 2 young children (5 and 😎. We would like a dog my husband can bird hunt with but also a family companion. Are there any breeders in VA or NC that you’d recommend. We’re leaning towards a female or one on the smaller side (closer to the lower end of the standard).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and take care!

We have a member that needs some good advice. Here is her question.

Hi, messaging for some advice, feel free to copy and paste and share with group. I really need some insight.

I have two neutered males, had one first then foster failed another, since having a baby last year the foster fail has attacked the other male on multiple occasions. We had a trainer come to the home and we eliminated letting the foster fail into our bedroom, and established the submissive one as priority at their suggestion (let him into the house first, make him go first for meals but feed them separately). At first it worked, but it is not working anymore. Has anyone else experienced this? I had them together for two years, no issues. The foster fail is dominant, and we avoid dog parks because if he gets hu**ed he will retaliate and get in a fight. He never starts fights with other dogs but will stand up for himself and it can get scary. I try to avoid other large males for him. My first dog is naturally submissive, but my foster fail is bullying him, scaring him, and starting the fights. The dog trainer said sometimes there is no fix and some dogs require to live in a single dog household. I don’t want to believe that. Any tips, advice? He is a part of our family and I love him to death, but I worry about a fight happening and my 1 year old getting caught in the cross fire. Please help me.
