Motivation (horse person edition) 🐎🤣

Motivation is a funny thing.
Some days it’s:
✨ “This is my year”
✨ “I’m organised”
✨ “I’ll definitely ride today”

And other days it’s:
🫠 standing in the yard
🫠 staring at your horse
🫠 thinking “I’ve already done enough just being here”

Motivation arrives uninvited at 11pm with grand plans…
and then doesn’t turn up in the morning when it’s cold, dark, and your horse has that look.

We’re told:

“Just be more motivated”

“Push through”

But realistically:

You fed the horse

You checked them

You turned up

That is motivation.

Also, let’s be honest: Horses do not care about your goals.
They care about:

Hay

Routine

Whether you’re late

And why the feed is taking so long

So if today your motivation looks like:

Brushing mud off a clean rug

Drinking tea in the tack room instead of riding

Saying “tomorrow” and meaning it kindly

Congratulations.
You are still a highly functioning, deeply committed horse human.

Consistency, kindness, and showing up in your own way…
That’s the real flex. 💪🐴
