Unpopular Opinion: Turn the horses outside.

Yes, it’s -10° and WE are cold, but that doesn’t mean the horses are cold. Most of them want and NEED to go outside. Horses generate heat by eating; so give them plenty of hay and turn em’ out! Of course it’s important to monitor their behavior and watch for signs of cold stress, such as hunched posture, shivering, decreased appetite, etc.

Must be an easy going GELDING. This is the perfect home for a retiree as we offer 24/7 access to excellent quality hay, an automatic waterer, and a run in shelter. Also included is once daily feeding of grain and access to the facilities such as indoor arena, heated office, bathroom, etc. NO CRIBBERS PLEASE.
