Hello all,
An outbreak of EHV originating in Texas is reportedly spreading across the US.

**We ask that should you visit another barn or other horses, that you change clothes and thoroughly wash hands before coming to our barn.** Even if you believe your horses to be virus free, please follow these precautions. We recommend following the same precautions when you return to your own barns

EHV can be spread through airborne particles or from contact with infected surfaces including hands, clothes, buckets, stalls, tack, etc. We will be monitoring our horses closely and taking all necessary precautions to keep them safe.

KWK Horse of the Day

Name: Getting Lucky Tonite 😉 aka Austin
Breed: AQHA/APHA
Gender: Gelding
Favorites: Hanging out with people, hanging out with Kevin, belly scratches, and dinner time
Dislikes: Anything on his back legs

Austin is a fancy bred pleasure horse by Nite Moves. He had a rough start to life and at five years old, he's now living his best life turned out with his buddies. He is lightly coming back into work after ulcer treatment and then a broken leg. He wants nothing more than to be with his people and definitely thinks he's a person and not a horse.

Austin may look mean sometimes but he just doesn't know how to use his ears and is really a cuddle bug. He likes to play, picking up just about anything in his mouth.

He has a newfound love for trail rides, massages, and the cryotherapy machine.

Name: 🔥 Smokin' Hot Kevin 🔥 aka Baby Kevin
Breed: Quarter Horse
Age: 4
Favorites: Kaitlin, snacks, and cuddles

Kevin was an impulse buy by Kaitlin because she'd always wanted a palomino. He was not registered when she bought him but worked with the breeder to get his papers! He is cow bred and innately herds other animals. He is now being registered as Smokin' Hot Kevin because he's just so handsome! He is ridden by lesson kids from beginners to advanced and does great, even though he's only four! He has the smoothest trot ever. He has a perpetually droopy lip and is a goofball. His best friend is Austin.

Fun Fact: Oakley is an off the track Thoroughbred. You wouldn't know it with how lazy he is 😅 until the jumps come out and then he's fast!💨
Best Friend: Oakley likes to hang out with Deli and Austin.
