💪🏻👊🏻🤩Celebrating this week’s Super Sniffers!!!
Rockin’ the threshold hide!! 🎯💯

Watching dogs work elevated odor is fascinating! 😱
So many great changes of behavior from the start! ⏱️.
Some dogs are seasoned veterans, others are learning how to process information.
They may understand the origin of the odor, source the hide from different angles, or show us the hide location even if they can’t reach it, but they all come to the same conclusion.
Well done Super Sniffers from Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club!! @
🤩👏🏻👊🏻

Tell us in the comments what you see when your dog is working elevation!

👊🏻💪🏻👏🏻Maryanne & Ace rocked this Distraction Blitz 42 container search: there were 8 high-value food distractions among the containers along with numerous other non-food items in most of the other ones.
Consistent training in small increments is the key to successfully navigating the selection, discrimination and impulse control challenges of this element!
Well done!! 🐾🥰👣

⭐️Silver and Bronze students can join the Student Study Group Forum on the Fenzi website and work with either me in NW120S and NW345 or Zoe in the NW265 classes - we are the Training Assistants for these classes and look forward to working with you!! 😃

Registration opens TODAY.

My August session at Fenzi Dog Sports Academy opens for enrollment TODAY at NOON PACIFIC, and I’m teaching three classes this round.

N120S: Introduction to NW Search Elements is for teams coming out of odor imprinting who need that critical transition into real searching — generalization, clean container habits, buried, vehicles, and multiple hides.

NW265: Nosework Small Space Skill Up is six weeks of training using nothing but your own home. It’s built for anyone dealing with heat, a packed schedule, or limited training space.

NW345: Container Wizardry is dedicated to diagnosing and fixing container problems — false alerts, missed hides, destructive searching, distraction issues. We assess your team first, then train exactly what you need.

All three run August 1st through September 11th. Pricing starts at $65 for six weeks, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze options.

Gold spots include direct feedback from me and they’re limited, so don’t wait if that’s what you want. Registration closes August 15th.

Full descriptions and registration are here: https://scentsabilitiesnw.com/online-classes/

Drop a comment with N120S, NW265, or NW345 and I’ll tell you honestly if it sounds like the right fit for your team.

⁉️ Got some white ORT boxes with paw prints, nail marks or other smudges? Before you recycle them, turn them inside out and voilá!! Brand new box 📦

May help some dogs with “white box syndrome” too!
Who knew? 🤷🏻‍♀️
I learned about this idea 💡 volunteering at a recent trial!!

📋Concepts and variables can define a puzzle🧩 and should support a high likelihood of success, combining them (more ➕or less ➖) based on the team's skills and experiences, without over-stacking them beyond the team's ability.
Most of these were trained individually and gradually combined over time leading to the combination that was incorporated into this search 📋:
How many concepts and variables you can observe 🔍📋 based on the changes of behavior ?👍
No peeking....🫣
