UPDATE: Since April 18th I have had a total of four spinal surgeries. I'm not bouncing back like I did in the first 3. Right now I have no feelings in my right foot and 1/2 of my right leg. This means I can't walk. Even with a walker I'm very wobbly because of the numbness in my foot. It's hard to walk if you can't feel the floor. I'm not supposed to Bend, Twist, Lift, push or pull. Well as you know, I'm bending, twisting and lifting ALL the time when grooming. With all that said, it looks like it's going to be a longer road to recovery. Please text me (it's faster for me to respond) in the case of urgent needs. 440-554-6780. I miss you guys terribly. Thank you for all of your prayers, flowers, cards and offerings to help me. I consider you as a part of my family. For some, I have groomed over 25 yrs. of pets.

As much as it pains me to say, I am unable to groom until mid/late June. I'm having spinal surgery next week and was encouraged to take this week off as well. Bending over a grooming table and wrangling cats for the past 20+ yrs has my back screaming for help. I need a spinal fusion, rods and screws. My surgery date is April 18th. I will miss taking care of the kitties.

With that said, if you are ALREADY a client and your cat has an emergency or is in desperate need of care, I will do all I can to accommodate you in May. I will not be accepting new clients. My business is too full as it is.

This handsome boy came in today for mat removal and ended up with a winter lion cut. Gus was previously a feral rescue but he has found his forever home. His owner sent me this video after they got back home. I forgot to mention that he's 16 yrs old.

One of my customers asked me about the dryers I use. This is an article I wrote for Groomer to Groomer Magazine.

Some cats shouldn’t be dried by any dryer. But for the ones that we do dry, the quieter the dryer, the better it is for the cat! Cats for the most part don’t mind being dried, they just don’t like the sound and the feeling of the forced air on their face and whiskers.

Odin came in with his brother Stanley for a lion cut. Before I groom a cat I allow them to explore the salon and settle themselves. Well, Odin decided to walk out of his carrier and curl up to sleep. LISTEN TO HEAR HIS SNORING!
