Help us write the next chapter. ❤️🐾

Margot has done her job. She kept her puppies safe, loved, and raised them through their toughest days. Now it’s time for the next chapter.

Her puppies are 6 weeks old and are available for pre-adoption! We’re looking for foster homes for about one week until they’re ready to head to their forever families.

Want to make sure you pick the perfect puppy? Foster two puppies together for the week and see which one steals your heart. It’s a great way to learn their personalities before making it official.

Now all they need is a couch, a family, and someone willing to say, “Come on home.”

Just when we thought we had seen or tried every fundraiser out there... one of our supporters Angela comes in with a "hold my beer" moment And WE ARE HERE FOR IT!!😂😂😂

Angela is competing in this year's Can You Survive? Charity Event in Newport, Maine from July 7-11. It's based on the TV show Survivor with contestants raising money for the charity of their choice while seeing who can survive 4 days in the wilderness. The best part?? 100% of all donations go directly to the contestants' charity of choice and we are hers! Every donation through the event link goes directly to the dogs in our care. Additionally, the contestant who raises the most money for charity prior to the event start earns an "advantage" for the event to give them a head start! Let's help Angela (and our dogs) out!

Max is still waiting. 💔

Every day he wakes up in a kennel, hoping today is the day someone finally sees him.

Here’s what we know:

🐾 Has lived successfully with a cat.
🐾 Wonderful house dog who settles in beautifully.
🐾 Needs to be the only dog so he can soak up all the love.
🐾 Would thrive in a home with a secure fenced yard where he has room to stretch his legs. Apartment life just isn’t the right fit for him.

Max doesn’t need a perfect family—he just needs his family. A soft bed. A backyard. A person to greet when they come home. The simple things so many dogs take for granted.

He’s done his waiting. Now he just needs someone to say, “Come home.”

Helping a sweet girl find a safe place to land. ❤️

Meet Tess, a 3-year-old Pit Bull mix who is looking for an adopter or foster after her world was turned upside down.

She has had one loving owner since being rescued, but sadly her owner has been diagnosed with end-stage cancer and can no longer care for her. Right now, Tess is being temporarily boarded by family while they desperately search for a rescue or foster. She’s extremely stressed as one can imagine and though, it’s only been a few days in her new home and she is not getting along with the other dogs. It is unclear whether or not she’s good with other dogs and the family member who has her is an equipped to try.

🐾 Walks beautifully on a leash
🐾 Knows basic commands
🐾 Spayed
🐾 No known medical issues or allergies
🐾 Heartworm negative
🐾 Recently updated on rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention

We have to have hope that fosters are out there… because these dogs are counting on it.

Tonight, we’re asking for help with 7 puppies of various ages living in a garage with little place to move and an elderly couple who are completely overwhelmed over their heads.

We want to help… Crossed Paws thankfully took 4, and still there are 7.. please help us get the rest into rescue.

Right now, we are beyond capacity. We don’t have kennels. We don’t have room. The only way these puppies can come to safety is if foster families step forward.

A foster home is more than a roof—it’s a lifeline. It’s the difference between staying stuck and getting a chance at the life every puppy deserves.

🚨 Foster Needed for Cairo 🚨

Cairo is a young Great Pyrenees who deserves so much more than the tiny space he’s been living in.

Born on Christmas Day two years ago and given as a gift, and not a dog to be in a small space. Like so many livestock guardian breeds, confinement is incredibly hard on him. He’s been spending his days walking stress circles in a small enclosure—a heartbreaking sign of a dog who simply needs room to breathe, stretch, and just be a dog.

He absolutely loves other dogs and has been wonderful with every person he’s met. He’s kind, gentle, and just looking for someone to give him a chance.

We can pull Cairo into rescue, but we need a foster home first. We simply don’t have an open spot.

Can you be the bridge between his past and his forever family?

Join us to shine Victoria's Light - A community event honoring the beautiful life of Victoria Smith. Come together in the spirit of kindness and generosity, united by community love and support. Though she may be gone from our sight, her light continues to shine in all of us. This event is open to the public whether you knew Victoria or not.
Hosted by Smith's American Tavern, all proceeds from this years event will benefit the Polk County Bully Project. The event will start at 6pm with live music by Adam & The Munnville Band inside and adoptable puppies from the rescue on the patio. Smith's will be open with a full menu for dinner. We will have raffles to bid on as well as a closest to the pin and longest drive contest on the virtual golf course (additional fee applies).
At 9pm, the restaurant will close to the public and only be accessible to VIP ticket holders. Purchase of a VIP ticket gets you access to a selection of light appetizers, a free drink ticket and the opportunity to mingle with the Pouncey twins. During this time you will have exclusive access to photo opps, bottle signings and possibly having one of the twins get behind the bar and make you a drink!

More slots have been added!!!

We need your help!!!! We have to spray pesticides at our office and all the dogs need to be out of the main building on Sunday 6/28 from 10am-5pm!

We currently have about 30 dogs in there so this will be a large group effort! Please lend us a paw a sign up on the link below to take a dog for a day! We will be so grateful!
