Just like humans, dogs can experience stress. Recognizing the signs early can help you provide comfort and prevent potential behavioral issues. Here are some common indicators that your dog might be stressed:
1. Body Language Changes
Tucked Tail: A tail held low or between the legs can indicate fear or anxiety.
Pinned-Back Ears: Ears laid flat against the head often signify discomfort or stress.
Dilated Pupils & Rapid Blinking: Widened eyes showing more of the white (sclera) can be a sign of stress.
2. Excessive Panting or Drooling

Atta Boy! Animal Care began in December 2013 when Founder Amber Van Denzen realized there was a need for PROFESSIONAL dog walking + in-home pet care services for Lakeland + Mulberry, Fl residents. The idea was to both teach pet owners how to be the best pet parents they can be, and to help eliminate the number of unwanted pets turned into shelters due to their owners not having enough “time” to care for them. Amber’s idea was to provide an unmatched suite of quality services that would help busy pet owners, be great pet parents.
Today, Atta Boy! Animal Care is the premier in-home pet sitting + dog walking service in Lakeland, Fl. We work with our clients to create a customized pet care plan tailored to their pets’ lifestyle. We believe that by providing care for your pets in their own home will relieve any unwanted stress that may be caused while boarding and day cares and will lessen the incidence of unwanted learned behaviors and/or the potential risk of exposure to illness.
