On April 22, 2013, I lost a young filly that meant more to me than I can explain. I bought her right from her stall on the racetrack, and she had raced that morning. It was ironic that I tried to protect her from the horrors that can occur in racing, and her injury came during a warm sunny day, in a bright green pasture. It was a 47 day battle to save her. I still don't believe I will ever get ove

r losing her. What occurred after is a tribute to her. I have a stable with 7 great pastures, 4 with run in shelters, 14 stalls and two beautiful barns. We are in the process of creating a polo training field equipped with a large gazebo to watch practice meets. We are very well versed in equine injuries, and take many rotations from the race track and polo athletes with injuries. It is all for the lovely Ms Vixy, and I believe she is watching over all her equine friends.

It has truly been a heart wrenching day of remembrance. It seems all things that really hurt are balanced. My son was born at 8:43 24 years ago. I will cry until then. Then I need to be thankful for everything he showed me. But the pain of this day may never go away
