The UPHA Chapter V Horse Show is ready to kick off, and we're looking forward to a fantastic week of competition. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Stacey Swalla, Kathy Anderson, Bob & Tonya Brison, Jean Ehlmann, Debbie Erickson, Lori Nelson, Missy Smith, Hilary Wilcox, and particularly Maple for their dedicated efforts in preparing for this week's show.

The young professionals of UPHA Chapter V are setting a challenge to all Trainers, Assistant trainers and Instructors to join in the first Trainers Horsemanship Challenge May 15th, Friday night after the last class of session.
You will be able to support each trainer by venmo -Chapter5 be sure to tag your favorite trainer and Get ready to support your trainers/instructors!
100.00 entry fee per rider, shirts will be provided to each trainer/instructor
You show case your skills first way of the ring and second way will be randomly drawn for second way!!
RED DOT SALE !! Add a red dot to your back number and advertise your horse for sale during the event!

The UPHA Chapter V horse Show Committee is excited to welcome everyone back next week!!
Move in day is Monday morning unless you have made previous arrangements with the Show, not all stalls will be available in barn 6 due to another show on Sunday till Monday.

The following changes and added classes have been made for UPHA Chapter V Horse Show 2026

Emma Caruso will be unable to officiate in 2026, Evan Orr has agreed to officiate in her place.

Class 88 AHHS Hackney Pony Pleasure Driving Medallion will move from Thursday 10:00 am session to 180.1 Saturday 9:00am session.

The Hackney class 159, harness class 209 and Roadster class 157 will be stake classes, No qualification will be required.

UPHA Chapter V is delighted to announce Hilary Wilcox as the 2025 UPHA CHV Instructor of the Year. Hilary, a third-generation horse enthusiast, has dedicated her life to the equestrian world. Her passion for teaching was ignited at a young age by lessons from her grandmother, Judy Werner, and further nurtured by esteemed instructors and mentors such as Ellen Beard, Lillian Shively, Missy Smith, and the late Jessie Richardson.

Hilary’s teaching philosophy revolves around sharing the joy of horses and imparting valuable life lessons beyond the arena. She aims to instill a profound love for horses in her students. Throughout her career, Hilary has had the privilege of chairing the exceptional challenge cup committee, coaching the World Cup team, guiding numerous National and World-caliber riders, and introducing thousands of riders to the equine world. Reflecting on her achievements, Hilary expresses her greatest pride in witnessing the riders’ growth and the development of their love and trust in the horses they’ve come to cherish.
