To say I am proud, is an understatement 馃挄 we came away from this weekend with two 6th place ribbons, one 7th, and enough joy and excitement to last a lifetime! The Fall Festival was a big show with lots of kids and horses who knew what they were doing and it definitely showed, but Lexi tried her heart out, even though she was so so tired, and that showed even more! After only 90 days under saddle, not being to a single show since 2016, AND being in heat, I can officially say, my not-so-little mare is absolutely perfect 馃挄 Plus, she took great care of me ( this was also MY first show ever!) when there was some pretty crappy horse-drivers, and she was bumped/ran into more times than I can count馃槖
For the rest of winter, she gets to be a glorified trail horse while we work on bettering ourself as a team, and I think we will come into the next show season with a bang! I cannot wait to see what all our future holds, but I think it will be extraordinary 馃挄
Results:
Hunter Under Saddle, we didn't place, but I will say, some of those horses in there, should NOT have been in walk/trot馃槀
Hunt Seat Equitation, we came out 6th even though I messed up my diagonals ( I fixed it though!!!)
Western Pleasure, we got a 7th place, which I am EXTREMELY happy with, since my little english pony tried her heart out to slow down
Western Horsemanship, we came out 7th with an AWESOME pattern!
A huge thank you to my family, friends, and my newly acquired show team馃挄 none of this would have been possible without you guys!
Also, thank you to Stephanie Plote and Rachel Hattendorf, who bred and raised Lexi into an amazing little mare, I couldn't be more thankful for you guys and how much you helped with my little girl!
