Meet Vito,
Vito is approximately an 8 year old Siamese. He is extremely affectionate and loves attention. Vito is blind but this does not stop him from exploring. Once he gets familiar with his surroundings, there is no stopping him. He loves to be by people. Vito gets along great with dogs, cats and kids. He is just a happy go lucky kinda guy.
Vito is a special needs boy and has chronic bowel disease. This is easily managed by steroids and special food. He is very easy to medicate and is all around the purr-fect boy.

The sweetest Nugget wants to come home with you! He is an 8 year old neutered male and is fully up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. He was timid upon his arrival at his foster home, but his true personality has come out with time: Nugget is 15 pounds of pure love. Once he warms up to you, he will follow you around and beg for cuddles all day. He might even wake you up with some kisses on the face. He can be quite skittish with new people and loud noises, so he would do best in a quiet home. He has not lived with other animals to our knowledge, but he has been extremely sweet and docile and would likely do just fine with a slow introduction. He is on a prescription diet for urinary crystals and is working on slimming his figure, so he will need to follow a regular feeding schedule with no extra snacks on the side.

HOLIDAY HOURS:
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve: 8:30am-1pm
Christmas Day and New Year’s Day: CLOSED
Saturday 12/28: CLOSED

Otherwise our hours are normal, however we are shorter staffed than usual. This means medication refills may take a bit longer and we may have trouble squeezing in as many emergencies as we usually can. Have a wonderful holiday season from everyone at OAH!

Clinic built on a dream

After 17 years of practicing veterinary medicine I decided to explore the idea of opening my own hospital. The beautiful community of Gingellville in Orion Township is growing tremendously and needs a small animal hospital that practices good quality medicine with reasonable prices. My husband and I decided to invest in this dream and build Orion Animal Hospital from the ground up. You will love the warmth and home-town feel, the compassionate care, and most of all how your pets are treated when here. I strive to be the very best veterinarian I can be and to serve my community in the best way I know how--by taking care of their animals.
