Emergencies can happen in seconds — and knowing what to do could be the difference between life and loss. Every pet parent should have a basic understanding of dog CPR ❤️

Here’s a quick breakdown:
✔️ Check breathing & pulse
✔️ Give rescue breaths
✔️ Start chest compressions
✔️ Use the Heimlich maneuver if needed
✔️ Continue & monitor closely

⏱️ Stay consistent, stay calm, and act quickly.

🐾 Know the Signs: Your Dog Might Be Uncomfortable 🐾

Our pups can’t tell us what’s wrong, but they do communicate in other ways. Learning to recognize these signs of discomfort can make all the difference in keeping them safe, happy, and stress-free 💛

Some common signals to watch for:
• Excessive yawning (not just sleepy!)
• Cowering or tucked tail
• Lifting a paw in hesitation
• “Whale eye” (showing the whites of their eyes)
• Hypervigilance or inability to relax
• Refusing food or treats
• Pulling away from people or situations
• Slow or stiff movement
• Lip/muzzle licking when not eating
• Pacing or restlessness

✨ These behaviors can point to stress, fear, pain, or anxiety — especially during grooming or new experiences.

As a groomer, your pet’s comfort is always my priority. If I notice any of these signs, I adjust accordingly to make sure your baby feels as safe and calm as possible 🐶💕
