Between the Cattery, the shelter, and all of our dedicated fosters - we have a lot of little babies with huge appetites! Bottle babies need to eat every couple of hours so that means that we go through A LOT of kitten formula and our supply is running low.

We're needing some assistance in refilling our shelves and are asking for some KMR Powdered Milk Replacement donations! If you're able to help us out, please consider! 💜

🩵🧤Help us keep our paws clean! 🧤🩵

We use disposable nitrile gloves to protect not only our cattery team, but also to protect and prevent the spread of illnesses by changing our gloves between each cat. Because of that, we go through A LOT of gloves, and our glove supply is starting to deplete. 🐱

We're asking for some help to keep things sanitary - If you're able, we're needing some nitrile gloves (size M/L) and regular 13-gallon drawstring trash bags. 🩵

💚Winner, winner, wet food dinner! 💚

We have several cats in our care who are exclusively on a wet food diet for their health needs. We also supply our fosters with kitten pate for our mush babies. Our kitties LOVE their wet food, so much so that they've almost eaten their way through our supply! 🐱🐾

We are asking for some assistance with restocking our shelves with kitten pate specifically. The pate helps keep kittens hydrated, which is crucial for their overall health and development. The soft texture of pate is easier for kittens to eat, especially for those who are still developing their teeth. Plus, wet foods are often rich in protein and essential nutrients, supporting healthy growth and energy levels. 🩷

The Mad Cattery

The Mad Cattery is an extension of the SPCA of Brazoria County, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to leading Brazoria County to a time when there are no more homeless pets in our community. Founded in 1974, the SPCA-BC has operated the Southern Brazoria County Animal Shelter since 2003. The shelter is an open admission facility serving the cities of Freeport, Lake Jackson, and Clute and proudly operates as a no-kill shelter.

The Mad Cattery is an adoption and event center that houses many of the shelter’s adoptable cats and kittens. Looking for your new best friend? Come spend time with some of the sweet kitties looking for loving furever homes in our new cabitat (cat habitat)! Just need a break from every day life? Stop by and say hi! The kitties would love to have someone to play with and give chin rubs. We even have goodie bags filled with treats that you can purchase to give to them! All cats and kittens have been vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Talk to our adoption counselors about who might be the best fit for you!

As we are no longer operating as a thrift store we have so much room to spare! We will be offering regular monthly activities to the community including cat yoga, game night, movie night, trivia night, planner brunch, paint and sip, various crafts and more! Need a space for your next meeting? The Mad Cattery is available to rent for birthday parties, showers, meetings, book clubs, bible studies and more! If you need a space, we’ve got it for you.

All proceeds go to helping the pets in our care. We also accept donations of cat litter, cat food, cleaning supplies such as soap, clorox, clorox wipes, windex, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. All donations will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
