Jack Update 💵
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated to help get Jack to Canada. Because of your generosity, we’ve officially reached our estimated gas goal of $1,200 — which honestly still feels a little surreal to say out loud.
Watching this community step up so quickly has been nothing short of amazing. It’s a powerful reminder of something we say often in rescue: every dog has their person… sometimes we just have to help them find their way to each other. And this time, because of you, that path is clear.
Jack is on his way to Kim and her wonderful husband, and a whole new chapter is about to begin — one we all had a small but meaningful part in making possible.
If anyone wants to continue donating, we’ll be on the road living our best gas station snack life (gourmet dining, obviously), so a small “transporter snack fund” is always appreciated — but truly, never expected.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for showing up for Jack. This is what community looks like. ❤️
🚨 Community, we need you—like, really need you. 🚨
Meet Jack Black (yes, the name is iconic… the situation, not so much).
Jack is a German Shepherd who came into the Western Arizona Humane Society with 13 other shepherds from a hoarding/neglect case. Huge shoutout to the Humane Society for stepping up and giving these dogs a chance🙏
Some of his siblings are bouncing back—but Jack? Not so much.Kennel life is hitting him hard. Mentally🧠Physically. The kind of “this poor dog needs out ASAP” hard.
Enter Kim and her husband😊who walked in by chance, met Jack, and said, “Yep. That’s our dog.” 🖤
They understand Jack and wanna give him the life that every dog deserves. They have the calm, quiet home he desperately needs to heal so he can become the happy pup he is meant to be ❤️🩹
There’s just one tiny, inconvenient, slightly dramatic detail…🇨🇦 They live in Canada.
We explored flights—because, you know, that would be easy—but every small charter is booked out 6+ weeks, and Jack on a commercial flight? Hard pass 🛑 Not his vibe 👎
So we’re doing this the old-fashioned way:🚗 ROAD TRIP. FOR JACK.
Plan:Lake Havasu ➡️ Bellingham, Washington (about 20–22 hours straight)Then his new family will take him the final stretch into Canada
Now here’s where you come in 👇
💸 We need help covering transport costsGas alone is estimated at $1,000–$1,200 (because apparently road trips aren’t sponsored yet 🙃)
If you’ve ever said, “I wish I could help a rescue dog…”👉 This is it. This is your moment.
Every dollar helps get Jack closer to his quiet couch, his safe space, and his people 👩❤️👨
📸 We’ll be documenting the journey so you can follow along every mile of the “Jack Black World Tour”
