Bonded pair of doves need a home:
Iris and Opal are just about 5 years old, they are cousinsIris: Rosy white Ringneck (can be identified by the blue band around her foot)Opal: Bull-Eyed White Ringneck (can be identified by the silver band around her foot)Bonded female pair
Egg layingHand-held
Diet: half seeds, half pellets (I usually get Zupreeme). Ill sometimes give them a bit of veggies or fruit.
Favorite treat: Safflower seeds and occasionally a bit of cheese
Tricks: They can touch/ follow a stick or finger (I usually use a chopstick and when they touch I say good bird and give them a treat). I also taught them to fly to me by holding out my arm. They do tend to get distracted so sometimes I have to lure them with treats or the chopstick before they decide to fly to me. I recommend training them separately.Personalities: Super friendly and easily held. They are a tad bit skittish at times especially to new places or things and loud unexpected noises. Super cuddly and cute with one another. You can give them little things such as paper towel scraps or cut up string for nesting material. Sometimes when out of the cage Iris will chase Opal around. They like warm baths and sunbathing. Sometimes I like to place them by sunny windows on their perch and they love it. Oftentimes they’ll end up bathing in their waterbowl. Need to be supervised at all times outside of the cage. They will fly to the highest, lowest, and most hidden places of the room and tend to be quiet, making them hard to find if you stop paying attention.
