Well here she is!! Our beautiful land. Now that we own it, it’s now the process of building it to suit not only our family but this rescue that we have been dreaming about for so long. Thank you to everyone who has been following along. I promise to keep posting and showing process as we keep moving forward. When the time does come we will be asking for your support and donations to build out the buildings we need and then we will start saving some dogs lives and giving some very deserving seniors a place to spend their golden years as we keep going. Well hello everyone! We made it Colorado and we absolutely love it here. The dogs love how much there is to explore in the outdoors and we love the colder weather compared to California. The only downfall has been how hard it is to find land here that doesn’t cost like a million dollars (not even kidding about the price) but we’ve found a few very good options that we’re very excited about. Once we have secured the land I will be asking for donations at that time to start building our rescue. I’ve met with the local shelters in the area already and have been volunteering with them as well. Starting to establish connections & hopefully build good relationships with everyone who works to help these pups out. Would you all be interested in seeing pictures of the dogs here and who is available even if we aren’t set up to rescue them? Let me know in the comments! Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and we can’t wait to see what this year brings.

We are getting ready to move on to the land we’ve been searching for. It’s in Colorado but exactly where is still up for debate. But as I read of the rising “returns” to the shelters it breaks my heart. We can not get to the land fast enough for me to start saving these dogs. When you bring a dog home into your house it’s not a stuffed animal you can return when you’re “done” it’s a choice for life! That’s why we call it a “furever home” I know it’s cutesy but we do mean FOREVER. They’re a commitment for the rest of their lives. Plan for 10-15 years and if you can’t handle that don’t get a dog.

Hey fam! We have some more pups who are looking for their furever home. Is it your home?

Hey CBR friends & family, we could use your help sharing some our our amazing, adoptable dogs:

1. Bowie - this girl is a spunky low-rider with lots of love to give, she can be overstimulated easily (especially with toys), so we’ve been practicing calmness with this lil girl.

2. Charlize is a petite 30 lb pitty mix with a BIG personality. She has a bit of leash reactivity, and a play style that can get her in trouble with other dogs. She needs an experienced handler that will help teach her the art of neutrality.

3. Toby is our senior dude with some medical issues, but so much life and love to give. He’s great with other dogs, neutral with cats, and good around kids!

4. Poe just finished a few weeks with where she learned how to respond better around other dogs. She loves kids, and loves spending time with people. She’s looking for a home with someone that will continue the structure that Humblek9 implemented.

5. Chessie has been with us for over a year, and really at no fault of his own. People just don’t understand how to communicate effectively with him. He’s great with dogs, cats, & all animals.

6. Ziggy is great with small and big dogs, but needs a home without kiddos. He’s an old man, but doesn’t let that slow him down. He’s still full of so much love and playfulness. Seniors are so perfect!

7. Tyson is still pending his routine medical vetting, but we’re accepting applications in the meantime - check out our recent post on him for more info!

I took this picture 7 years ago. This was our family’s very first rescue dog, Jasi. She was saved from Arizona which kills (at the time not sure if it’s changed since then) any pitbull who came into the shelters. She passed away from cancer a few months after this was taken and is the reason I have gotten rescue dogs ever since. My goodest of the of the good girls...the original pretty pitty princess...my Jasi girl. She’s the reason I’m starting this rescue. We may have saved her life to start with but really, she saved my life more times than I could ever count by just being there. I miss you sweetheart every single day.
