FROM A FROZEN FIELD TO A FOREVER HOME 🐾❄️
Meet this incredible litter of nine sweet puppies! Their story started in the freezing cold of an Oklahoma field, followed by a scary stay at a high-kill shelter. Thankfully, we were able to step in and bring them to safety, and now they are ready to find the warmth of a loving family.
Their mama appears to be a beautiful Golden Retriever / Lab mix, and while dad is a mystery, we suspect a splash of Husky in the mix! We expect these pups to grow into medium-sized adults.
About the Pups:
• Personalities: Playful, curious, and incredibly sweet.
• Training: Already working hard on their potty training and crate training.
• Social: They absolutely adore people and love romping around with their siblings.

These babies are coming to you healthy and ready for adventure! They have been:

💗 Meet Josie 💗 RESCUE PUP

This sweet little girl has already overcome so much in her short life. Josie was found in a field in Oklahoma during freezing weather, huddled with her mom and littermates before they were taken to a kill shelter. Her mama was extremely emaciated, doing everything she could to keep her babies alive. Thankfully, they were rescued just in time and brought to Wisconsin, where their healing journey began.

Josie’s mom appears to be a Labrador Retriever mixed with a Golden Retriever, and while dad is unknown, the puppies show some Husky-like traits and are likely a mix of several breeds. Based on their growth so far, we expect Josie to mature into a medium-sized dog.

Josie is an absolute love. She has a warm, affectionate personality and greets you happily the moment she sees you. She’s already doing great with crate training, we’ve begun house training, and she’s making wonderful progress. Josie has been exposed to other dogs, cats, and children, and she takes everything in stride.

She has received a certified vet inspection, her first round of shots, deworming, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee also includes a future spay.

This girl has come so far from a cold field and a shelter deadline — now all she needs is a forever home to call her own.

Meet Canella 🖤🐾

This beautiful German Shepherd mix mama came dangerously close to losing everything in a high-kill shelter in San Antonio, Texas. Pregnant and out of time, her future was incredibly uncertain. In shelters like this, pregnant dogs often never get the chance to deliver their babies.

Canella was rescued just in the nick of time. After being pulled from the shelter, she was placed in a boarding kennel where she waited—safe, but still in limbo—until a rescue could step in and take over her care full-time.

That’s when Blackberry Point Haven said yes.

We made the drive to Texas to bring this sweet girl into safety, and now she’s exactly where she belongs—loved, protected, and finally able to rest. She’s very close to giving birth and has been an absolute angel through it all. Gentle, calm, and full of quiet gratitude, Canella soaks up affection like she’s been waiting her whole life for kindness.

Once Canella has delivered her babies and finished raising them, she will be available for adoption, and so will her pups. 🐶💕

We’re sharing her story to get more eyes on this incredible mama and, when the time is right, help her find the forever home she so deeply deserves. One that will cherish her, protect her, and never let her end up forgotten again.
