We like giving back to our community! this month we have been involved with the Las Flores K-8 career week and the Capistrano unified high school career fair, as well as sponsoring the Las Flores K8 Bear Bash which helps support students with additional classroom supplies, technology and experiences like field trips.
We also host student interns through the cca.vet.tech program. And summer vet student interns from several international universities.
Dr Barry’s boys are students at Las Flores school and we are proud to support our next generation of students.

RECALL ALERT - Savage Pet of El Cajon, CA is recalling 66 Large Chicken Boxes 84 oz. and 74 Small Chicken Boxes 21 oz. with the lot code/best by date of 11152026 because it has the potential to contain H5N1, also known as bird flu.

🐾 CUTENESS Overload! 🐾
"Dust Bunny" visited us this week and became our newest Wellness Plan member! He had a full exam with Dr. Barry, then enjoyed some tasty Churu treats while his veterinary team tested him for FeLV and FIV, and started his primary vaccine series. Fortunately, Dust Bunny tested negative for those viruses, and didn't even notice that we snuck a couple of vaccines in, as he happily chowed down on tuna Churu.

At the end of our Vet Tech / staff appreciation week at Baker Ranch Animal Hospital we celebrate our other Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Jamie!

Jamie has been part of our team for several years- she has a calm and gentle way with our patients and puts their family at ease. She’s excellent as dentistry and always helps her colleagues get medical notes and records completed.
Jamie has a pack of little rescue dogs - Savannah, Susie, Chauncey and Gigi. All four of them have the cutest personalities.
Thank you Jamie for your hard work and dedication to ensuring our patients have the best care! We 💜 working with you 🐾🐕‍🦺😻

Day 4 of Vet Technician/ Staff appreciation week at Baker Ranch Animal Hospital and we celebrate our fantastic front desk team

Haileigh is one of our newer team members but she’s already made great connections with our clients. She has a sweet black Labrador named Cora.

Teresa is a familiar face and voice to many of our clients as she works tirelessly at her other “ job” which is running Modjeska Ranch rescue- a local animal rescue that focuses on caring for animals that have medical needs or wouldn’t otherwise be adoptable such as senior pets. She’s also the author of several books which tell the tales of animals that she has helped.

Both Haileigh and Teresa are such assets to our team and we are grateful that we get to work with them. Thank you ladies! 😻🐾🐈‍⬛🐕‍🦺🫶

Day 3 of Vet Tech / Staff Appreciation Week at Baker ranch Animal Hospital and we are celebrating two of our amazing veterinary technician assistants- Bianca and Isaiah.

Bianca started as a student intern from Platt College RVT program and we were thrilled to hire her after she completed her course. Bianca loves the puppy and kitten visits and she has such a calm and sweet way with our furry friends that they can’t help but cuddle with her. Bianca has a cute tuxedo kitten named Mr Binx and two adorable pups - Benji and Seven.

Isaiah took a chance and dropped off a resume with us almost two years ago- he started as a kennel assistant but it was clear that he’s a quick learner and he rapidly gained assistant skills and knowledge to make sure our pet owners feel educated with their pets health. He always makes a big fuss of our patients and they love him 🥰

We a so grateful to have both of these wonderful people on our team 😍🐈‍⬛🐾🐕‍🦺

Day 2 of Staff Appreciation Week at Baker Ranch Animal Hospital and we’re celebrating two of our technician assistants- Jasmine and Cyndi.

Jasmine is studying for a veterinary technician assistant course while also working at our hospital. She loves all dogs but has a special bond with German shepherds. Fun fact about Jasmine - she has a beautiful singing voice and is amazing at Karaoke!! 🎶🎤

Cyndi is our cat whisperer- she came us as a student intern from Platt College where she graduated this year from their RVT program. Once she has taken the very challenging Vet Tech National Exam, she will then be Registered Vet Tech in California. Cyndi enjoys working with kitties whether they are sweet or scared she will calm them. 🐈‍⬛😻

Today kicks off the start of National Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week but as we’re a small team, we celebrate staff appreciation week as every one at our hospital deserves to be recognized for the love and passion that they bring to work.
Day 1. We’re highlighting Jill who is one of our two Registered Vet Techs. She is also our hospital lead and does so much behind the scenes work to keep Baker Ranch Animal Hospital running. Jill makes the day light hearted and fun - whether it’s singing along to the radio, calling the dental X-ray machine all sorts of foul names, or giving all the love and cuddles to your sweet pets. It is a treat to work with such an awesome human!
