Welcome to Pet Wants OC South, we are your local pet food & supply market located in Lake Forest, CA. If you’ve been searching for a higher quality, fresher pet food, healthier treats, or unique locally-made pet products you’ve found the right place! Owned by Shannon Weel, an Orange County native, Lake Forest resident, pet owner and pet lover! She has 2 rescue cats, Piper and Robin, and a Coton de Tulear/Poodle mix named Roxy. Her love for her own pets inspired her to search for healthier, more nutrient dense food choices to support their health and wellness. Pet Wants is exactly what she was searching for: fresh, healthy, nutritious food that pets want!

Our dry food for dogs and cats is something special! Pet Wants’ carefully developed pet food is made fresh monthly and slow-cooked in small batches, using quality, natural ingredients. There’s no sugar added, no fillers, and no animal by-products, and since we never use corn, wheat, soy, or dyes, the food is a great fit for pets with allergies. We believe fresh is better, that's why our food is made monthly and in your pet’s bowls within weeks of being made!

Along with our fresh kibble, our brick & mortar shop offers a full array of treats, chews, collars, leashes, pet care items and so much more! You can also find us at local farmer’s markets and community events. Our upcoming events are listed on our page and on Instagram.
