Respect is achieved through rules, boundaries, and limitations...
Trust is gained by understanding and supporting...
Affection given as a reward...
The three combined give access to leadership and create the Bond.

In Italy my dad had a German Shepherd training & breeding facility and we owned 24 German Shephards. When I was a child

my job was to play with the puppies and prepare them for their forever home. During that time, through contact and observation, I learned the dogs language and communication is the key. Now I'm a proud owner of 4 rescue dogs, an Anatolian Shephard mix, Nerone, a Yorkshire Dachshund mix, Sissi, which both came with me from Rome. Here I rescued two more souls in need; a Cocker Spaniel, Ruxxter and an American Staffordshire/Pitbull mix, Sandy. Together, with the support of my babies, we want to fulfill our dream to save more lives! I'm a passionate dog lover and Positive Dog Training is imperative for me. No dog is too much for me to handle and aggressive dogs, the most misunderstood, are my favorite. No pinch, no choke or shock collar will be ever used in my training. I believe in leadership, which means to conquest it by working with the dog, not against him.

If your dog has not a very strong rear end, or is prone to hips dysplasia, this is what you can do...
My dad used to do this with his German Shepherds to reinforce the rear.
Zeus defnetly needs some more back muscle!
First try, ideally the rope should go along both shoulders...

Priorities for dogs are different than ours.
What is polite in the human world is not necessarily polite in the dogs world and viceversa.
This is a good example: not say hi during a walk to someone that wants to say hi to our dog, is in the human world unpolite.
In the dogs world thou, if the dog says hi to everybody you meet, your dog will want to say hi to everybody at all times, even when it's not the proper moment to do so and YOU are making your dog unpolite by humanizing the dog.
You are the role model/ pet parent, show your dog/furry baby what is polite.
It all depends what YOU want from your dog.
👍😀
