The club has been organized to promote the enjoyable no nonsense training and testing programs where retriever dog owners meet, train, and learn about their purebred dogs together, in the truest interest of creating a versatile retrieving dog. Our members are dedicated to the use of retrievers as conservation tools and betterment of the retrieving breeds through selective breeding, training, and t
esting programs. Affiliations: LCRC is affiliated with the American Kennel Club (AKC), the Master National Retriever Club (MNRC) and Hunting Retriever Club (HRC). LCRC is committed to being a progressive force in both HRC and AKC Hunt Test arenas. Membership Meetings: Regular club meetings are held the third Thursday of each month beginning at 7:00 pm at the Logan's Roadhouse located at 3509 Gerstner Memorial Blvd, Lake Charles, LA 70607. Club Training Days typically are held on the Saturday following our regular monthly meetings.
