🐾✨ Monday Morning Takeover ✨🐾

Hi, it’s us—Ruby, Bo & Gemma. Just letting you all know farm chores have been delayed because we have officially claimed the Queen size bed. Mom can try to wiggle around all she wants, but we’ve got prime positions locked down.

Bo’s on pillow duty. Ruby’s stretched out like a queen herself. Gemma? She’s the anchor in the middle. Together, we form the Ultimate Hound Dog Pile™ 🐶🐶🐶

Sorry, Mom… farm chores can wait. Beds this warm and cozy are more important. ❤️

The kids may not be thrilled about the first day of school, but this momma sure is! 🎉 Good luck to all their high school teachers—you’ve got your work cut out for you. Meanwhile, my house is suddenly kid-free during the day and I can finally be lazy, snuggling with my fur babies without hearing arguments about which dog or cat has a favorite kid. Let’s be real… they only love me because I’m the one who feeds them. 🐾😂

After a busy afternoon cleaning out an old pig barn for one of our amazing families, Sam and I headed back to Winnie's for snuggles and then her older sister came to fish and kayak with her while Winnie and I watched in amusement as the current kept pushing them down the inlet farther. Yesterday Sara joined Sam as they tried out the new pole. 🤣 We have the best extended families, thanks so much to Kris and Lara for allowing the kids to fish and kayak while enjoying Winnie snuggles!

🚨 A Reminder for Dog Owners 🚨

Yesterday evening while petsitting I witnessed something that could have ended badly — a jogger was just about bitten by a dog that ran out of its yard right as he passed by.

No matter how sweet or well-behaved we believe our dogs are, their instincts can kick in when something exciting or unfamiliar runs by. That’s why a solid recall (coming when called every single time) and safe containment like an invisible fence or secure yard are so important.

Not only does it protect joggers, cyclists, and neighbors — it protects your dog from getting hurt, hit by a car, or taken away after an incident.

If your pup doesn’t have a rock-solid recall yet, please put the time into training. If your yard isn’t fully secure, consider an invisible fence or other containment. It’s peace of mind for everyone, and it could prevent a tragedy. ❤️🐾
