This morning we said goodbye to Tammie Baker. So many of you have reached out over the last few years to check in and ask about her.
She touched so many lives creating Rockhaven Cockers nearly 40 years ago now. I'm so thankful to have been such a small part of this and really get to understand the gravity of how many lives that she has made a difference in through Rockhaven. She loved her clients, new and old. She loved meeting so many people through the Cocker world. She told me all about how much she loved finding the perfect homes for her puppies, getting to introduce you to your new fur family addition, and when she'd get to travel to bring them to you. I know she appreciated every one of you that made it possible for her to continue to do what she really loved for a living by breeding her gorgeous dogs for as long as she could. She was truly a legend in breeding absolutely beautiful Cocker Spaniels.
She had such a passion for animals. Whether it was feeding the wild birds, grooming her dogs, whelping puppies, feeding stray cats, or trying to befriend a raccoon that was coming up to her front door. I'm grateful to have this passion in common with her. I won't forget going to the exotic petting zoo with her and Kelli Anne. I don't think many people can say they were bitten by a lemur for not giving it fruit fast enough, but she could!
I know she was greeted this morning by wagging tails and face licks from all the Cocker Spaniels she brought into this world and loved.
The Baker family appreciates all the kind words & compliments, the support for her business, and the love you have all shown her over her extensive career.
Thank you all so much for being such a big part of her life.
-Kelli
