WE NEED TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE GETS ALONG BEFORE YOU CAN ADOPT! Adoption Fees for Dogs:

$75.00 If the dog is not sterilized or up to date on vaccines. You will receive an $18.50 vaccine voucher and a $38.00 sterilization voucher.

$56.50 If the dog is up to date on shots but is not sterilized. You will receive a $38.00 voucher for sterilization.

$37.00 If the dog is sterilized but not up to date

on vaccines. You will receive an $18.50 voucher for vaccines.

$18.50 If the dog is current on rabies and has been sterilized; also for out of state adoptions. Adoption Fees for Cats:

$50.00 If the cat is not sterilized or up to date on vaccines. You will receive an $14.00 vaccine voucher and a $20.00 sterilization voucher.

$36.00 If the cat is up to date on shots but is not sterilized. You will receive a $20.00 voucher for sterilization.

$30.00 If the cat is sterilized but not up to date on vaccines. You will receive a $14.00 voucher for vaccines.

$16.00 If the cat is current on rabies and has been sterilized; also for out of state adoptions.

In honor of Juneteenth, the City of LaGrange will be closed for business on Thursday, June 19th. All garbage pickup scheduled for Thursday, June 19th, will be pushed back to Friday, June 20th. The City will be open for business on Friday, June 20th.

Kicks is our last little lady up for adoption at PetSense! All of her other puppy pals have been adopted! Kicks is about 5 months old and is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped!

If your pet is already microchipped, please make sure that it is updated with your CURRENT information! The 4th of July is coming, and fireworks cause panic for a lot of animals. Should they run off and get lost, microchips are a HUGE help in getting reunited with your furbaby!

The City of LaGrange Animal Shelter was able to adopt 47 of their animals in May because of the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters Event. The BISSELL Pet Foundation, a national nonprofit dedicated to ending pet homelessness, prompted a nationwide call for adoption through its Empty the Shelters event, May 1-15, 2025.🐾🐾🐾

The City of LaGrange Animal Shelter participated alongside 380+ shelters across 43 states to help pets find loving homes through reduced adoption fees of $70 or less, generously sponsored by BISSELL Pet Foundation.

Since its inception in 2016, Empty the Shelters has helped more than 323,000 pets find loving homes and is now the largest funded adoption event in the country. The program partners with more than 815 animal welfare organizations across 49 states and Canada.

BISSELL Pet Foundation and City of LaGrange Animal Shelter urge families to research the pet they are interested in adopting and adoption requirements. For more information on adopting or donating to “Empty the Shelters,” visit www.bissellpetfoundation.org/empty-the-shelters.
