ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. — The St. Martinville Garden Club is hosting an Animal Shelter Food Drive throughout the month of April.

We received a request from Molly in the New Orleans area asking if we could help her try to find her dog's sister. This is what Molly sent:

"I adopted my dog, Matisse, through Take Paws Rescue, and he was originally rescued from the St. Martin Parish / Arnaudville area. I recently did a Wisdom Panel DNA test for him, and it showed a very close relative (34% match) to a dog named Bella Bear listed in Arnaudville.

Because they're from the same exact area and such a close match, I feel like they could be siblings or closely related. Matisse is deaf and has some resource guarding issues, and I've been working really hard with him, so I'm just trying to learn more about his background and if anyone has experience with related dogs.

I'm not looking for any personal information at all, just hoping someone might recognize the name or the dog. She's a black dog with a white chest and around 3 years old.
