🐾🔥 Hot Pavement = Hot Paws! 🔥🐾

The Louisiana sun isn’t just tough on us—it’s tough on our pets, too!

Did you know that on an 86°F day, asphalt can reach 135°F? That’s hot enough to burn your dog’s paws in under a minute!

👣If it’s too hot for your bare feet ➡️ it’s too hot for their paws 🐾

Here’s how to protect those precious pads:
✔️ Walk early in the morning or late evening
✔️ Stick to grass or shaded areas
✔️ Use paw balm or booties for extra protection
✔️ Always check the pavement with your hand for 7 seconds

🚨 Signs of burned paw pads:
❌️ Limping or refusing to walk
❌️ Darkened or red pads
❌️ Blistering or peeling skin
❌️ Licking or chewing feet

Our littlest helper found the purr-fect spot to oversee work today! 🐾🖥😻

This curious kitten made herself right at home on Megan's shoulder while she wrapped up some tasks at the computer. Whether it was charting or scheduling, we’re pretty sure productivity went up by at least 100%... in cuteness, anyway. 💖
