I have a client who received a diagnosis from her vet that her dog has to have both of her eyes removed. If anyone has some experience with this, and wouldn’t mind sharing, I know she would appreciate some support and what moving forward may look like.

Good morning…. And what a cold one it is. One of the biggest challenges for mobile grooming is freezing temperatures and water supply. With that being said, I do everything in my power to keep operations going. However, it may come to a point where Mother Nature says, ‘Not today’, I need to cancel and reschedule appointments.

I appreciate your patience and continued support as i navigate this.

Stay warm,
Lisa

LOST DOG – West Lafayette (W. 450 N area)

A few days ago, a dog was found wandering in the W. 450 North area of West Lafayette. She appeared to need a bath and shelter, and a kind neighbor has taken her in and is caring for her while we work to locate her owner.

To ensure she is returned to the correct family, we are keeping specific details private. If you believe this may be your dog, please send me a private message with a description (breed, color, markings, collar, etc.) and any other identifying information so we can confirm.

Please feel free to share this post so we can get her home safely. 💛

I don’t usually post things like this, but I’ve had such a heavy feeling in my heart thinking about the loss of SNAP benefits. I can’t stop thinking about how many people will struggle to put food on their tables.

Several of my clients come from lower-income households, and I can’t help but think if they can’t feed themselves, how will they care for their pets? That thought just breaks me.

And it feels like no one is talking about it. Maybe because it’s considered “political,” but to me, this isn’t about politics. This is about people being hungry. This is about our families and our neighbors struggling.

I don’t know what the answer is, but I know we can’t ignore it. I keep asking myself: what can I do? How can Wildcat Valley Animal Clinic help?

If the loss of SNAP benefits brings hardship for families in our community, please consider helping by donating to our Darby’s Animal Devotion (D.A.D.) Fund at Wildcat Valley Animal Clinic. This fund helps pets whose owners are struggling financially get the medical care they need.

Every dollar goes directly toward helping animals whose families just need a little help right now. ❤️🐾 ❤️🐾

You can text or call the clinic at 765-589-7297 for a secure link to donate.

I also pray that our leaders and policymakers can come together and take care of the members of our community who depend on these services so that both they and their pets can continue to be cared for.
