Keysey Acres

Keysey Acres I enjoy sharing my love of chickens and ducks. They are all very loved and spoiled. We are nestled on 2.5 wooded acres in southern Tippecanoe County, In.

We practice many natural husbandry ways for the happiest and healthiest birds. We have a mix of 50+ very spoiled chickens and ducks living here, along with 3 rescued Dobermans, and cats. The focus of this page will be the lives of our birds and natural husbandry.

Lots of Silkie chicks are still hatching through November. The colors I've been hatching regularly this year are: black, white, paint, splash, partridge. More rare colors occasionally available are chocolate, mauve, silver. No shipping, pick up in Lafayette, Ind. Send a message to get on the list.

-- Silkie grow outs about 4 months old, straight run
--Trio of Belgian d'uccles. 1 male and 1 female mille fleur, 1 male golden neck. 3 months old
-- 4 mille fleur Belgian d'uccle chicks under 3 weeks old and straight run

THIS is why I raise chickens. 4-H has been a huge part of my life, from being a 10 year member to project leader in several areas. I'm proud of the care i put into my birds at Keysey Acres, and this is the best reward. A young 4-H'er winning BEST BIRD IN SHOW, at his county fair with a Golden neck Belgian d'uccle that came from my flock.
I think 4-H is one of the greatest organizations and I'm so happy to still be involved with it. So proud of all the hardworking 4-H kids this year!!

I've had a lot of family losses this year, and I have a lot of other animals besides poultry, so I'm doing some downsizing.
This is an adult male Red Foot Tortoise. He's very friendly and extremely healthy. He absolutely loves attention and neck scratches. He comes right out when you call for him. I really want him to be able to live outside more of the year than he can in Indiana. Preferred homes in warmer southern states. He's ready to breed and would love some other tortoises to be friends with. He loves greens, bananas, melons, and tomatoes. I'm willing to drive him up to 5 hours for the right home. There is a rehoming fee. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you
