As most of you know, we shut down due to Covid and we could not financially re-open. I sold the building and I have about 12 large Vari-Kennels for sale for $50 each. If anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks.

After long and careful consideration, Animal Crackers will not be re-opening for Grooming due to loss of key employees. But, starting Friday, May 15, we will be open for Boarding. Starting Monday, May 18, we will also be starting Doggie Day Care. Schedule your doggie today!

To put everyone at ease, The American Kennel Club and the CDC state that their are no Coronavirus infections to the pet population and their is no evidence that transmission could come from or be given to pets. The concern was raised due to the outbreak in China starting with an animal infection a person. Again, our pets are safe.

However, it is smart to take extra precautions by cleaning your pets' paws when they come inside, bathe your pets more frequently and to keep your pets, as well as yourself away from crowded areas, such as a crowded park.

At Animal Crackers, our boarding kennels and work areas are being sanitized twice daily.

Animal Crackers apologizes for our phones being down the past 24 hours. We had some power outages that have affected our lines. They should be back up and running within the hour.

It's 4th of July time, which means lots of fireworks. Protect your dogs during this season. Please follow Acadiana Animal Aid's recommendations:
1. Leave pets at home and inside. Play music to distract them from the fireworks.
2. When you bring them outside to potty, please keep them on a leash. Some dogs will run when they hear fireworks, so you don't want to lose your furry friends.
3. Identification is crucial. Make sure all pets have their ID on their collar.
4. If you dog has high anxiety, you may want to consult your vet for medications.
