It has been a nice run...

Started in the living room of Jess Leutze with Frances Young and me, Evangeline Country Cat Fanciers was formed as a social club to produce cat shows. This was 1976. In these 42 years, Evangeline Country Cat Fanciers has produced shows in Lafayette, Alexandria, Shreveport, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Vinton, and Houston. Along the way, some of our friends have passed away, some have come and gone, and Kathy and I have kept the club going.

It is with pride and humility that we announce the club’s retirement. March 2018 will go down in history as our final show. We thank all for the support over these many years!

Another one for the records! There are so many to thank. Exhibitors without you there would be no show. Thank you for being there! All the rings were sponsored by 8 club supporters. Our raffle on Sunday made everyone hope-filled and some very happy! Our vendors left satisfied with participation. Club members worked together to bring this show to the public and LondonCats Show Promotion gave us the publicity that brought them in! Entry Clerking par excellence: smooth and no drama! Judges and clerks so professional in ring management helped us start and finish on time all three days. The staff of the Marriott North Houston met and exceeded our expectations. I want to thank my family for supporting us with cage delivery, setup and tear down. So a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this our 41st annual event!

I just found out our entry clerk won’t be home till Sunday night. So, after many requests, the show will stay open until Monday at 6pm for anyone on the fence about entering!

Last call, y’all! Entries close midnight 2/23/2018. There is one cat that is trying to get listed in TOES so we will keep the show open till that happens tomorrow. Don’t be left out...I want to see all my friends at this show...it means a lot to me.

The Evangeline Country Cat Fanciers Show is coming to Houston on March 2 though 4 where exhibitors from all over the world will share the love of cats.
