Ms Dolly Duet got her chicks today!!! It was a pleasure to meet her and her daughter & I’m so excited for them!!!

Swarm season is here for the next 6 weeks or so! If you see a honeybee swarm please reach out to me and I will come collect them or find a contact in your area! Help a beekeeper, help the pollinators, help the public, call your local beekeeper!

I cover Acadia, Lafayette, and a few other parishes here in South Louisiana.

A select amount of South Louisiana raised tamuk meat composites will be up for grabs in mid to late January. Their parents eased right through our brutal summer temps, beyond 110 degrees. I am super excited about these litters and I have been eager to share photos of them! If you have been on the fence about raising tamuks which are bred for our climate, reach out to be added to my list.

Working on a grow out program for Lavendar Orpington, Easter Eggers and my Barnyard Mix. I know most don’t want to deal with the added costs and troubles of raising out chicks. So I have decided to entertain offering this to a select few people. You would of course get a better deal growing them out yourself… as far as price goes. But you won’t need to have a brooder, heat lamp, excessive feed costs (they eat like crazy when they are in the rapid growth stage) plus you don’t have to worry about losses from 0-2wks!! These would be 6-10wks old depending on your preference. But they won’t be as cheap as buying 0-1wk old chicks. I have had several reach out for pullet/cockerel prices and also laying hens. If this is something you’re interested in, please message asap.
