4 Years Old • Debuting in Three-Gaited Park Pleasure this June!

Five years ago, this journey began with a breeding decision and a dream.

In 2022, Houston was born. Since then, he’s been given time to grow, mature, learn, and develop into the horse he is today. There are no shortcuts in breeding quality horses. Every foal represents years of planning, patience, hard work, and faith in a vision.

This June, Bo’s Diablo Heir will step into the show ring for the very first time, marking a milestone for our program as the first foal born and raised at Boe Ranch to make his show debut.

We couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds for this special horse. No matter what happens, watching a dream that started five years ago come full circle is already a win.

Good luck, Houston. Your story is just beginning. ❤️🐴

Our new logo for our exciting breeding program. ❤️

This weekend we took our first homebred c**t to Walnut Creek Equestrian Center for a practice outing getting ready for his very first horse show — and he did absolutely wonderful.

Moments like this make all the long nights, early mornings, and years of dreaming worth it. Looking forward to stepping into the show ring for the first time as owners/breeders under Boe Ranch. The start of something special.

There’s a part of this industry people don’t talk about enough…

The horses you start—but don’t get to finish.

The ones you put the first rides on.
The ones you teach how to think, not panic.
The ones that don’t come easy… until they finally do.

And then one day—they leave.

Sold. Sent on. Moved into another program.

And later… you see them again.

Winning. Showing. Doing exactly what you always thought they could be.

And your name isn’t anywhere in the story.

That’s the part people don’t see.

Running a breeding program sounds glamorous… until you realize:

• Someone always needs something
• Mud is a lifestyle
• Vet days = chaos
• And the babies? They run the whole operation

And when the stud yearling gets through the gate to the broodmares…

Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Meet Far Field Runaway Riches.

By Country Treasure and out of the well-known gaited mare Party Train (by Coal Train), Riches carries a pedigree rooted in proven performance.

Her dam, Party Train, made an unforgettable debut—shown by Don Harris in the Three-Year-Old Five-Gaited Mare class at the World’s Championship Horse Show, where she performed as if she had done it her entire life.

We brought Riches into our program three years ago with a clear vision. While we faced a setback this past year losing her pregnancy, she remains a key part of what we are building.

Our goal is to blend strong, older bloodlines with the modern generation—and Riches represents that balance.

She is a large, beautiful mare with presence, size, and natural motion.

This is where it’s defined.

The Next Chapter.

Meet - This Girl Is On Fire

By Merchant Prince and out of Show Country Angel (by Foxfire Prophet), “Foxy” is a mare we believed in before we ever saw her in person.

I first found her through the Happy Valley dispersal sale—picked entirely off her papers. We missed her in the Robertson Sale, and at the time, I thought she was gone. But what’s meant to be always finds its way.

A month later, she resurfaced in Washington. We acted quickly, and she came home.

Foxy has the kind of motion I’ve always been drawn to—an open shoulder with natural reach and presence. It’s the same quality I loved in a horse I owned years ago, and she delivers it just as I had hoped.

We started her under saddle at eight, got to know her mind, and knew she belonged in our program.

She’s already produced a c**t by Royal Crest’s Rockin On Heir that we’re very high on, and she consistently passes on size, beauty, attitude, and a strong, talented trot.

Currently in foal to Bacio Nordico, Foxy is due in early April.

This is where it continues.

Meet Far Field Sail Away.

She’s the mare that started it all.

By Harlem Globetrotter and out of Bermuda Star, Sail Away has quietly built a legacy behind the scenes—one we’ve had the privilege to be part of from the beginning.

If it weren’t for owner, Jennifer Blackburn believing in me as a trainer, I never would have stepped out on my own. Sail Away is where that story began.

She’s produced five foals—four proven in the show ring, with one just getting started.
Her foals include:
Embarcadero
Treasure By The Bay
Fog City Mystery
Spare The Heir
and her latest, TJ’s Grizzly Giant.

One thing that’s always mattered—every Sail Away foal carries a piece of California, a connection to the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California.

Sail Away consistently passes on size, beauty, a strong mind, a forward shoulder, and natural motion.

She’s been part of my journey for over 20 years.
That kind of connection is hard to put into words.

We’ve been a little quiet lately… but we’ve been busy building.

Boe Ranch isn’t new — just a new name with a purpose behind it.

Formerly Golden Ridge Saddlebreds, we’ve officially stepped into a direction that Scott Boe and Teddi Estes-Boe have been working toward for the past five years. Not overnight. Not by accident. This has been years in the making.

We’ve shifted our focus fully to what we love most — developing quality young stock and building a breeding program we believe in.

This week, we’re excited to introduce the heart of Boe Ranch… our broodmares.

This is just the beginning.
We’re here to connect, grow, and raise the next generation.

We’re not just raising horses — we’re building something that lasts.
