ISO Will be in Vermont Next Week and Also at HITS 4. Then KY Summer Classic And PONY Finals!

* Horse for short term lease, Month of July, maybe will want to extend. Hunter for 3’ great if it can do the 3’3”. budget open.

* A hunter type that is green, but has the temperament to be brought along in a program by a junior. Would like one that can do the baby green and has changes that aren’t too tricky. Needs to not look at the jumps. Mid fives to buy

* 2’6”-3’ lease horse for a kid moving up from a pony. Low Children’s hunter/eq. 25k year

* Horse to take a pony kid from Low Child-Small Jr hunter. Forgiving, big stride. 100+ to buy

* Green, hunter prospect for a talented boy. Something that could do 3’ fairly soon. Nothing that looks at the jumps. This one I am not sure when I can get it. He has outgrown his horse, they were 9th overall at Jr hunter finals. Trying to see if they want to lease him out. He is an awesome horse. So I am not sure of what the budget will be. This is a little on the back burner.

* Trying to stay at 17h and under for all of them.

ISO at zone 2 finals in Harrisburg this week!!

1. Med or very big small- lease- for child and pony hunters and PF. Low-mid five starting with a 2.

2. 5-9yo greenish hunter for teenager. Budget mid to low mid 5 budget. Ability for 3+ft.
Greener with great mind is better than seasoned avg type.

Going to a horse show is a test.....All your lessons work to prepare you for the test. Trainers are there to help you know what the questions are on the test but at the end of the day, You need to perform the test.

We had a great show today at OCRA!! First, Mason Meneses was Reserve Champ his second time out on Pretty Perfect! Sheryl rode Carter's new horse to Champion with Carter's help winning the hack! Then Carter won the Bit of Straw and Champion in the Low Childrens hunter and Series Champion on his Mom's horse Denali! Awesome job for my small but mighty show team! 2022 looks to be a great year for us!

Stalls available at Phoenix EQ Center and also at Little Fox Farm in Branchville, NJ. Training for children to adults, hunters/eq and jumpers. Licensed USEF judge. Lesson horses available at Phoenix Eq but boarding available in both locations. Attending shows from local schooling events to the A shows with Pony Finals on the show schedule. Riding/Training young horses or tuning up your show horse is available. Showing green hunters is a specialty. I have many years experience showing green hunters. Please PM for info and references.

My Story

Sheryl Wilkins is a hunter equitation trainer and a USEF licensed “r” hunter/eq judge. Young horses have always been a favorite for Sheryl and she also holds her “R” in Hunter Breeding. Inbetween judging, Sheryl focuses on how to build confidence for riders and horses from the Mini Stirrup up to the AA level horse shows. Sheryl is available at numerous facilities as a freelance trainer. Eastern Prospects IEA Team is based out of Phoenix Equestrian Center in Hamburg, NJ.
