Old South HRC held its fall event this past weekend in Phenix City. The Coot crew was on point again. Ember earned two more passes to obtain her Started Title. Oakley got two more Seasoned passes, and Ghost picked up another Finished pass. Thanks to the great folks at Old South HRC and all the judges for another great event.

Retriever training isn't your typical 9-5.

Out here, the hours aren't marked by a clock, but by sunrises, retrieves, and the steady progress of a dog learning their purpose. The work doesn't end when the whistle blows—it carries into early mornings, long days in the field, and late-night care in the kennels.

It's muddy boots, wet paws, and endless patience. It's celebrating small breakthroughs, sharing in the joy of a perfect retrieve, and guiding each dog to become the partner they were meant to be.
This life isn't for everyone-but for those of us who live it, it's more than a job. It's a calling, a passion, and a privilege.
